Recursion vs Backtracking — Stop Confusing Them Recursion is just a technique. A function calling itself to solve smaller subproblems. Use recursion when: • You just need to count ways • You need max/min • You return true/false • No need to explicitly undo choices Backtracking is recursion with choices. Use backtracking when: • You have multiple options at each step • You need to explore all paths • You need to print all combinations/permutations • You follow: choose → explore → unchoose Remember this: Every backtracking is recursion, but not every recursion is backtracking. #jobs #coding #recursion #software #interviewprep

Recursion is one of the core ideas in computer science: solving a big problem by breaking it into smaller versions of itself. A recursive function keeps reducing the task until it reaches a simple base case — the point where it stops calling itself. This approach shows up everywhere: searching nested folders, tree traversal, divide-and-conquer algorithms (like merge sort and quicksort), backtracking, and even math sequences like factorials and Fibonacci. Once you understand how recursion breaks problems down and rebuilds the solution from the bottom up, a huge part of CS, algorithms, and math suddenly clicks. #recursion #computerscience #bocchitherock

Tower of Hanoi & The Beauty of Recursion 🏛️🌀 One of the most elegant problems in computer science: how many moves to transfer 5 discs? 📦 The math: 2ⁿ - 1. For 5 discs, it's 31 perfect moves. The logic: To move N discs, you first move N-1, shift the base, then move the N-1 back on top. It’s recursion in its purest form. 🧠✨ Watch as the call stack grows and the puzzle solves itself through the power of recursive logic. ⚡ #ComputerScience #Recursion #Algorithms #TowerOfHanoi #Coding #Math #DataStructures #Python #React #Programming #TechEducation #LearnToCode #Aesthetic #Visualizer #STEM

Google Interview Recursion Trick 🔥 90% Developers Don't Know This Pattern Many developers struggle with recursion in coding interviews. But once you understand the right recursion pattern, problems become much easier. This exact approach is used to solve many LeetCode interview questions including tree, backtracking, and divide & conquer problems. If you're preparing for Google, Amazon, or other tech interviews, mastering recursion is a must. Save this reel so you don’t forget this pattern. Comment “RECURSION” and I’ll share more interview patterns. Follow for more DSA & coding interview tricks 🚀 #leetcode #recursion #codinginterview #dsa #programming

“A function calling itself” - how many times have we heard this phrase? Let’s finally break down and understand the concept of recursion! Recursion is a programming pattern that involves breaking down larger problems into smaller, similar ones, making it easier to reduce the length of code and increase its readability. It’s particularly useful for sequence generation, tree traversal, and other operations that require breaking down a problem into simpler pieces. It can also save time and effort when solving mathematical and string operations, such as calculating factorials, series, and string reversals. In this video, we use the classic game of Tetris as an interesting example to simplify the concept of recursion. Watch the video now to find out how recursion works. #SCALER #Recursion #Programming

💥 Explanation Most programmers believe infinite loops in C are only made using: 👉 while(1) 👉 for(;;) But advanced interviewers sometimes ask: ❓ “Can you create an infinite loop without using while or for?” And the scary truth is… 👉 YES, you absolutely can. 🧠 How Is This Possible? Because loops in programming are not only created by loop keywords. Loops are basically: 👉 Repeating execution of code 👉 And repetition can happen in many hidden ways 🔬 Method 1 — Recursion (Function Calling Itself) Recursion happens when a function keeps calling itself repeatedly. If there is no stopping condition, it becomes an infinite loop. Concept: Function calls itself Stack keeps growing Program keeps running until memory crashes This is one of the most famous “hidden infinite loops.” 🔬 Method 2 — goto Statement C has a very powerful and controversial keyword: 👉 goto It allows jumping back to a label in the code. If the jump keeps happening again and again… 💀 Infinite loop is created. Many senior developers avoid goto, but it is still valid and dangerous. 🔬 Method 3 — Signal or Interrupt Trigger Loops Advanced system programmers sometimes create loops using: 👉 OS signals 👉 Event triggers 👉 Callback chains These can cause programs to keep executing without traditional loops. #cprogramming #codinginterview #recursion #programmingfacts #developerlife #learncoding #codingchallenge #softwareengineering #computerscience #codingtips #systemprogramming #developercommunity #codingwtf #programmingknowledge #lowlevelprogramming #codingreels #techreels #codingsecrets #developercontent #programmerlife #backenddeveloper #webdeveloper #fullstackdeveloper #learnprogramming #viraltech #codingeducation #techshorts #pashadev #codingtricks #developerinterview

Chhota code fast nahi hota! 🚫 Recursion vs Iteration. Interview ka tricky sawal: Why is Recursion slower than Iteration, even if the code looks cleaner? Yaha hai simple breakdown: 1️⃣ Call Stack Overhead: Every recursive call forces the CPU to save the state, variables, and return address onto the stack. Iterative loops just jump back to the start—much faster. 2️⃣ Memory Usage: Iteration reuses variables (O(1) space). Recursion creates a new memory “stack frame” for every single call. Too deep? Hello, Stack Overflow error! 💥 Interviews me sirf code length nahi, efficiency matter karti hai!
