🌀Reflex assessment is an essential part of neurological examination when suspecting radiculopathy as abnormal deep tendon reflexes may help you identify the pathological disc level. 🌀Upper limb reflexes are the following 1. Supinator 2. Triceps 3. Biceps 🌀Reflex grade testing 0= no response, which is always abnormal 1+= slight but definitely present response, which may or may not be normal  2+= brisk response, which is usually considered normal 3+= very brisk response, which may or may not be normal 4+= clonus, which is always abnormal Disclamer: The reflex actions shown in the video are exaggerated for demonstration purposes. #reflex #neurophysiotherapy #neurology #demonstration #education #upperlimb #stroke #testing #medicine #medicalstudent #physiotherapy #student #theminimalphysio #dpt #physicaltherapyassistant #health #healthcare #student #bpt #masters

⚡ REFLEX ARC — Fastest Response of Our Body! 🧠✨ Have you ever touched something hot and pulled your hand back instantly? 🤯 That quick automatic action is called a Reflex Action, and the pathway followed by the nerve impulse is known as the Reflex Arc. 📚 Key Points: ✅ Reflex action is quick and automatic ✅ Controlled mainly by the spinal cord ✅ Protects our body from danger ✅ Brain gets the message after the action 🧠 Reflex Arc Pathway: Receptor ➝ Sensory Neuron ➝ Relay Neuron ➝ Motor Neuron ➝ Effector 💡 Real-Life Examples: 🔥 Pulling hand away from hot objects 👀 Blinking suddenly 🦶 Lifting foot after stepping on something sharp 📖 Save this post for revision & share with your friends! #ReflexArc #learnwithfun #nervoussystem #

Reflex examination ( Neurological Examination) 🧠 Reflexes in Neuro Examination Definition: A reflex is an involuntary, automatic response to a specific stimulus — used to assess the integrity of the nervous system (both central and peripheral). 🔹 Types of Reflexes Superficial Reflexes Corneal reflex – checks CN V & VII Abdominal reflex – T8–T12 Cremasteric reflex – L1–L2 Plantar reflex (Babinski sign) – L5–S1 Deep Tendon Reflexes (DTRs) Biceps reflex – C5–C6 Triceps reflex – C7–C8 Supinator (Brachioradialis) reflex – C5–C6 Knee jerk (Patellar) – L2–L4 Ankle jerk (Achilles) – S1–S2 Visceral Reflexes Pupillary light reflex Bladder and rectal reflexes ⚙️ Reflex Grading (0–4+) Grade Response Interpretation 0 Absent Lower motor neuron lesion 1+ Diminished Hyporeflexia 2+ Normal Normal 3+ Brisk May be normal 4+ Clonus Upper motor neuron lesion 🎯 Clinical Importance Helps differentiate upper motor neuron (UMN) vs lower motor neuron (LMN) lesions Detects neuropathy, spinal cord lesions, or brain damage#bhopal #medicine #nurse #trendingreels #mbbs #hospital #hospital #medicalstudent #mbbs #reflex #mp #hospital #bhms #physiotherapy

Most parents have no idea these hidden reflexes can affect focus, behavior, balance, learning, and emotional regulation. Here are 5 simple tests you can try in under 2 minutes: 1️⃣ Balance Test (TLR Reflex) Have your child stand with feet together, eyes closed, head down. If they sway or fall → their vestibular system may still be immature. 2️⃣ Head Turning Test (ATNR Reflex) Put them on hands and knees and gently turn their head side to side. Watch the arms. If one bends or collapses → ATNR may still be active. 3️⃣ Cheek Stroke (Rooting Reflex) Gently stroke from ear to mouth with a pen. If their head moves toward the stimulus → this reflex isn’t integrated. 4️⃣ Palm Stroke (Palmar Reflex) Lightly stroke the palm with a pen. If the fingers twitch or want to grasp → the palmar reflex may still be present. 5️⃣ Spinal Stroke (Spinal Galant Reflex) Stroke down one side of the lower back. If their hips wiggle or they pull away → this reflex is likely retained. These reflexes can impact: ❌ ADHD-like behaviors ❌ Sensory overload ❌ Emotional outbursts ❌ Poor handwriting & motor skills ❌ Bedwetting ❌ Clumsiness & balance issues ❌ Reading & learning struggles The good news? Primitive reflexes CAN be integrated with simple exercises — and kids can improve fast once the brain gets the right input. ⭐ If this helped, SAVE this reel and comment “Thanks!” so we know to make more valuable videos like this!
