POAI just turned animation into a prompt.
Replit recently introduced Replit Animation, a new feature that lets users create motion graphics simply by describing the video they want. Instead of using timelines, keyframes or editing software, the system generates the animation through conversation with an AI agent.
You can prompt something like: “Create a 20-second product launch animation with bold typography and smooth transitions.” The AI then builds the entire sequence, previews it in real time and lets you refine timing, colors or motion through chat.
What makes it different from typical AI video tools is how it works under the hood. Rather than generating pixels with diffusion models, Replit Animation produces programmatic animations written in code, often using modern web animation libraries. That means every element remains editable, precise and reusable in apps or websites.
Finished animations can be exported as MP4 videos in up to 1080p and 60 frames per second, making them usable for social media, product demos or explainer videos.
The bigger shift is creative workflow. Animation used to require specialized software and technical skill. Now it can start with a sentence.
