QOTD: typed or handwritten notes?
You absolutely don’t need to write pretty notes if that is not helpful for you! But if you want to elevate your notes, here are some tips:
[🗄️] Organise your notes
-> plan before starting your notes
-> use sun-headings and dividers to separate sections
-> box off important information
[🌈] Use a nice colour scheme
-> try not to use too many colours
-> consider different types of colour schemes (monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic)
-> check out my profile for posts with loads of ideas for colour combos!
[💫] Decorations
-> use stickers if you aren’t the bets at drawing
-> add small doodles or diagrams
-> washi tape is a great way to add patterns and colour to your notes
-> add shadows to texts and boxes to create a 3D effect
[🖋️] Stationery
-> make sure to use a good quality writing pen
-> highlighters are great to add colour and to make key information stand out (my personal favourites are @zebrapen_uk mildliners!)
-> use colour pens to contrast your normal pen for key words
[💯] Practice makes perfect
-> the first sets of notes you do probably won’t be the best
-> but over time you will develop your own style, discover what you like and also get better at different elements
