Buttery Seasoned Rice – homemade boxed rice, super economical, super tasty!
2 cups (400g) white rice^
3 1/4 cups (815 ml) water (cold tap water)
2 tsp chicken powder / granulated bouillon , or 2 cubes dissolved in boiling water**
1 tsp garlic powder* , 1 tsp onion powder (sub more garlic)
1 tsp paprika (not critical), 1/2 tsp dried thyme (sub oregano or 1/4 tsp sage)
2 tbsp dried parsley, optional
1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper
STIR THROUGH: 50g (3 tbsp) butter, unsalted (or MORE!)
1. Put everything in a large saucepan or small pot, stir well, bring to simmer over medium high heat. Lid on, lower heat to medium low so it’s simmering gently, cook 13 min.
2. Remove from stove, stand 10 min then stir through butter and fluff up. Serve!
3. STORAGE – cool rapidly and refrigerate within 2 hours. Keeps 4 days in fridge, freeze 3 months. Sprinkle with water and reheat loosely covered in microwave, takes about 2 minutes for half batch (can even do from frozen, about 4 min)

^ Any white rice except paella, risotto or sushi rice. Brown rice – increase water by 1 cup, follow recipe but simmer 25 min covered.
* Or finely minced 2 cloves and saute in a bit of butter, then add rice and everything else and proceed with recipe as written.
** Dissolve 2 cubes in 1 cup boiling water, then only add 2 1/4 cups tap water into rice.

⚖️ This is the first ESA exemption ever granted on national security grounds — a precedent that lets any future administration gut wildlife law whenever Big Oil comes calling.
🌊 Earlier this month: a 373-mile oil spill in the Gulf contaminated six species and

கடுகு/Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
வெந்தயம் / Fenugreek - 1/2 tsp
கருவேப்பிலை/ Curry leaves - 15 pcs
நல்லெண்ணெய் / Gingelly Oil - 3 Tsp
சின்ன வெங்காயம் / Shallots - 200 g
பூண்டு / Garlic - 50 g
பச்சை மிளகாய் / Green Chilli - 15 pcs
கழனி தண்ணீர் / Rice Rinsed Water - 100 g
புளி தண்ணீர் / Tamarind Water - 150 g
வடித்து தண்ணீர் / Boiled Rice Water - 50 g
உப்பு / Salt - 1 tsp
மஞ்சள் தூள் / Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
High தூள் / Hinch - 1/4 tsp
Tips & Tricks :
After seasoning, add onion,garlic and green chilli. Saute it well, and add rice washed water, tamarind water and salt.
Let it cook and add boiled rice water before turn off the flame. Wait until it become thick consistency.
If u want, add 1/4 tsp of rice powder in boiled rice water to get better thickness.
