ITthe pole was colder than the sky. i stood on it anyway.
there is a version of me that never left the kitchen floor. she's still there, some mornings – warn, safe, quiet. I don't hate her. i just stopped listening to her when she told me the door was locked.
warsaw doesn't owe me applause. the concrete doesn't owe me a soft landing. the wind doesn't care which direction I face. i come to the rooftop not to prove anything to the city, but to empty the argument in my head. the flip is not the point. the stillness before it is.
