Why i chose these projects: Dingo is an open source robotic dog. This project is great to build, because the files and instructions are easy to find and follow. The project touches a lot of the most important topics in robotics, such as mechanical design, ROS programming, kinematics and power management. It is also very modular, so you can easily expand upon it by adding your own modifications or functionalities (personally i think it would be awesome to see one with an FPV camera). The high speed drone by ASTDrones is a great project because it is fairly easy to make, and the result you get is just awesome. I mean, who wouldnt want to have a drone that can fly at 300km/h. It is also a perfect entry point into aerodynamics and high-performance design. The Manafish underwater drone is cool because it lets you explore a completely different world. Unless you have a special type of diving license, you’ll never see what’s happening 50 m below the surface. With this, you can explore there using something you made yourself. It is a great project to learn more about underwater robotics, electronics and PID stabilization, and it is fully modular so you can easily expand the design yourself. Also, you can buy a kit with all the parts which makes sourcing the components a lot easier than in the other projects. Link in bio if you want a kit:) If you had to pick one to build, which one are you going for? #engineeringproject #3dprinting #robotics #mechatronics

There are many benefits to using ROS2 on a Raspberry Pi-controlled robot. ROS2 (Robot Operating System 2) is a framework for robot control that has been enhanced with distributed processing, real-time performance, and modularization, making it easier to integrate sensor processing, control algorithms, and communications. Furthermore, by combining Raspberry Pi and ROS2, it is possible to implement SLAM (self-localization and mapping) using LiDAR and cameras, evolving the robot from a simple remote control to an autonomous mobile robot. The biggest advantage of this is that it allows you to create a powerful robot development environment at a low cost. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, from educational purposes to prototyping, so it is a must-try option for those starting robot development. Singularity crossing with the world’s smallest industrial robot arm. Although the robot is roughly the size of a human hand, its effective Cartesian workspace is remarkably large. This video demonstrates how a custom singularity-handling algorithm enables the arm to cross kinematic singularities smoothly, taking full advantage of its workspace while maintaining precise control and dynamic stability. The robot is purpose-built for high-end automation in microelectronics, semiconductors, photonics, medical devices, advanced laboratory workflows, and comparable fields, where both micrometer-level precision and an extremely small footprint are critical. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to discuss your application, arrange a demo, or invest. #robotarm #mechanicaldesign #roboticarm #engineering #technology

Filics is a Munich based German robotics startup specializing in autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for intralogistics, particularly pallet transportation. Founded by Julius Lutzer (COO) and others, the company aims to replace traditional forklifts with innovative, flat AMR platforms. Their flagship product, the Filics Unit, is a double skid system made of two synchronized, battery powered autonomous robots that function as omni directional forks. The system uses AI and sensors to navigate autonomously, potentially signaling the end of traditional forklifts in some applications. Like this content?
