This effect was created in after effects using the rotoscoping technique . The subject was masked out using rotoscope brush in after effects . Then The layer was duplicated and rotoscope effect was removed from one layer to get the background back and then Fill effect was used to create a colorfill layer on the masked layer and then deep glow was used to pop out the color .

In this reel, I’m standing on a mountain, the sky suddenly changes, and all gods appear one by one. To create this scene, I used rotoscoping in After Effects to isolate my body and replace the background cleanly.
People always ask: How to replace background in After Effects? How to change a background? Why is rotoscoping so hard?
Because rotoscope needs clean edges, frame-by-frame accuracy, and perfect matte refinement. But once you master Rotobrush 2 and Refine Edge, sky replacement becomes smooth.
There are many ways to replace a sky:
✨ Rotoscoping
✨ Luma key for bright skies
✨ Sky replacement plugins
✨ Simple masking (for static shots)
But for moving shots like mine, rotobrush is the best choice. I rotoscoped my body, refined the matte, froze the roto, and then added the dramatic sky with the gods appearing.
