🚨 BREAKING: SUPREME COURT ABOUT TO GUT RACE-BASED DEMOCRAT CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICTS! 🚨 The Court is reportedly ready to gut Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) — the main tool Democrats have used for decades to draw pro-Democrat, race-based districts. Sean Spicer reports: “I have been told by reliable sources that the decision is DONE and the minority is SLOW-WALKING the dissent so states do not have time to redistrict ahead of it.” If SCOTUS significantly weakens the race-based requirements, Republicans could gain **over a dozen House seats** heading into the 2026 midterms. This would be a massive, jaw-dropping defeat for the Left’s gerrymandering strategy. Florida is already set to convene soon — timing is critical. Nothing is 100% final yet, but if this drops as expected, the electoral map is about to shift dramatically in favor of fair, color-blind districts. America First means one person, one vote — not racial engineering. 🇺🇸

The Supreme Court is hearing the redistricting case Louisiana v. Callais, which challenges a Louisiana congressional map that created a second majority-Black district. During re-argument on October 15, 2025, the conservative majority appeared willing to undercut Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act (VRA), which is meant to prevent racial discrimination in voting. If the court rules against the current map, it could undermine VRA protections nationwide and potentially allow Republicans to gain more House seats. Overview of the case Background: After the 2020 census, lawsuits argued that Louisiana’s congressional map illegally diluted Black voting power by only including one majority-Black district, despite Black residents making up one-third of the state’s population. A federal court ordered the state legislature to create a new map with a second majority-Black district to comply with Section 2 of the VRA. The new map: The legislature then drew a new map with a second majority-Black district. This map was subsequently challenged by a group of white voters who claimed it was an unconstitutional racial gerrymander. The Supreme Court appeal: A federal appeals court sided with the white voters, and the case was sent to the Supreme Court. The court initially heard the case in March 2025 but ordered it to be re-argued in October 2025. Key legal question: The Court is now considering whether states are legally required to consider race when remedying VRA violations and whether doing so might violate the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. Potential impact of a court ruling 1. Weakened Voting Rights Act: A ruling in favor of the white voters could dramatically weaken Section 2 of the VRA, the last major provision of the landmark civil rights law still fully intact after previous court decisions. Without Section 2 protections, states could draw maps that dilute the voting power of minority communities, making it much harder to challenge discriminatory redistricting.

This week SCOTUS gutted the Voting Right Act with their ruling in Louisiana vs. Callais. They didn’t limit it, they GUTTED it. Section 2 of the VRA, which outlaws discrimination in voting map creation on the basis of race, demands that we, rightfully, use race-conscious data when redistricting voting maps, and if racial discrimination is found, that map is deemed illegal. That has now been overturned, meaning the court (6-3) has decided that legislatures and states do not need to take race into consideration when drawing voting maps. That is……insane :) That is the darkest of dark decisions for our county as it pertains to civil rights. This court has handed Trump and the republicans yet ANOTHER tool to completely disenfranchise Black and Latino voters in the south in particular, and we will see the ripple effects of this as soon as the midterms. A horrifying reminder that this country is build on an ever-pervasive foundation of white supremacy that is being upheld by a handful of racist individuals. Democrats need to be absolutely ruthless in their response. The door has been burned to the ground, and I don’t want to see a single strongly worded letter about how unfair it is that the door was unlocked in the first place. Gerrymander California ENTIRELY blue. Turn every purple state blue. Lock down every blue state. Float the idea of secession. The chessboard has been thrown out and we must keep the lost disenfranchised among us from being thrown out with it. F*ck Mitch McConnell for blocking Obama from appointing a judge. F*ck Sam Alito and his “good faith” actions. May the ghosts of the people born before the Voting Rights Act was put in place and who will die with it overturned dance on your graves. ✌🏼

repost via #warriordw2 🎥 #attorneyryan 👈🏽 The Voting Rights Act still stands, but it’s been severely damaged. Here’s a simple explanation of what happened. Under Section 2 of the VRA, communities who had their votes suppressed, diluted, or diseased by a voting law could raise a legal challenge to that law. For example, redrawing a Black-majority district so that white votes count more than Black votes could be challenged under Section 2. To succeed, the voters did not have to prove that racist goals were the INTENT of the challenged law. Rather, they only had to show racist discrimination was the OUTCOME. Trumps conservative majority flipped that rule on its head. Now, politicians can pass a law that suppresses the votes of People of Color. Then they can simply claim they had a partisan reason, such as protecting an incumbent or maintaining a Republican majority. That excuse, even if false, is now given tremendous weight by the Supreme Court. There’s no other way around this. The Supreme Court has given the middle finger to Congress, which overwhelming passed, re-passed, and bolstered this law over the past 60+ years. The Court must be expanded, there must be term limits, and we need a binding code of ethics. That’s my take. What’s yours? This is educational content for discussion and information only. The 2021 decision that gutted section 2 of the VRA is impacting voter suppression laws right now. With so much falling back in state courts, it’s critical we elect people who have spent their careers working to protect our civil rights, not work to dismantle them (literally what Justice Earls’ opponent Sarah Stevens has done on the election law committee). Also without @katebarrcantlose I wouldn’t even have heard of this case not have this super comfy sweatshirt🥰

The Supreme Court has turned its attention to a hotly debated issue: majority-minority districts. Required under Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) since 1986, these districts number in the dozens and have tended to vote heavily Democratic. If struck down, Republicans would gain a notable structural advantage in the House of Representatives, as some experts estimate that Democrats may then need to win the House popular vote by as much as 5% to secure a House majority. So let’s dive into the arguments for and against whether race should play a role in determining congressional districts. 🔗Head to our bio for the full story
