Combining physical and mental activities ensures your furry friend stays happy and balanced. Here are some engaging exercises we do daily to balance Aiko & Yuki out: 1️⃣ 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐬 – 45 to 60 Minutes twice daily. Regular walks provide essential physical exercise and mental stimulation as your dog explores new scents and environments. Add some obedience training in while walking. If your dogs love enjoy frisbee or catch, add that to their daily walk as well. * Adjust the duration based on your dog’s breed, age, and energy level.  2️⃣ 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 – 15 to 20 Minutes Games like fetch or tug-of-war not only burn energy but also strengthen your bond. Aim for short, energetic sessions to keep things exciting.  3️⃣ 𝐏𝐮𝐳𝐳𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐲𝐬 – 10 to 15 Minutes Engage your dog’s mind with puzzle feeders or treat-dispensing toys. These activities challenge their problem-solving skills and can be a fun way to serve meals.  4️⃣ 𝐎𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 – 10 to 15 Minutes Short training sessions teach new commands or tricks, providing mental stimulation and reinforcing good behavior. Consistency is key for effective learning.  5️⃣ 𝐒𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 – 10 to 15 Minutes Hide treats around the house or yard and encourage your dog to find them using their nose. Threshold training with Martha 🐶❤️ We’ve been working on this so that we can make sure she’s calm when she enters the house, other peoples houses, and even the gate to the park where she plays. It allows us to get the door unlocked etc without her pulling and pushing to go inside. We make sure that we get eye contact from Martha and she waits until she’s given a command to enter.
