INTERIOR STRINGING!!! 2/2
Whatโs up yall! In this weeks tutorial Tuesdays weโre going over how I like to use interior stringing in my string jobs. Last episode we went over the AT knot and the IC knot, and in this episode weโre going over the two more knots that will make you a PRO at stringing to the inside.
First is the Interior-Inverted-SI (IISI). This know is quite literally an inverted SI string to the inside of the head. Itโs a great knot for both channeling and pocket-building, however I find it to be more useful as a channeling knot because I very rarely build my pockets using interior stringing techniques as over the long run it can lead to the ball getting stuck in the head as it pinches.
The final knot is the Interior-Standard-Transition knot (IST knot). This knot definitely does not deserve such a fancy name but idc itโs my video deal with it ๐
This knot is what I use when I transition from interior string techniques to standard stringing techniques and I usually utilize it just before I begin to build the pocket.
Interior stringing is a super fun tool to use when stringing because it allows you to achieve really unique tension origins, and subsequently, really unique channels and pockets. I have personally found the Standard-Inside-Standard method to be the most universally applicable, but please experiment and have fun with it!!!
