✨🍳 THE BEST BRUNCH SPOT IN SLC 🍳✨ 👋 Meet @eatskillets 📌282 E 900 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84111 Nestled in the Liberty-Wells neighborhood is this creative & delicious American-Venezuelan brunch spot that started as a food truck but is now one of the most iconic brunch spots in Utah! Skillets is no hidden gem, but it sure does deserve ALL the love & hype with over 2,300 Google ratings & a 4.9 star ranking. They have a cozy interior & an enclosed patio (with extra heaters) and still draw long wait times on the weekends (but it’s worth the wait). The menu is decently sized with specialty items being added in seasonally (like the brand-new Croque Madame sando that just dropped & is INCREDIBLE). They are most known for their breakfast burrito (it won the best breakfast burrito in salt lake city multiple years) + their iconic Breakfast Tower for Two (which is the ultimate feast containing the waffle fondue, fresh fruit, the sourdough toast sampler with house made whipped butters & at the base is a hearty spread of eggs, breakfast meats, golden tater tots & crispy rosemary potates + their fan-favorite secret receipe green sauce). It’s a MASSVIE feast & definitely built to share (but makes great leftovers too). If you have a sweet tooth, don’t worry, they even have a French Toast Flight - but we are partial to the Biscoff French toast all on its own. My favorite appetizers were the whipped tofu and the karage wings! And then the ramen I had was the Tantan-Men. It was their vegetarian option and I loved it! #SLCgrubs

Slurp responsibly @oishiramen.520 recently opened their second location in Salt Lake City near the U, in what used to be Sasa Kitchen. Known for their hand pulled noodles, lamian, Oishi was actually the very first restaurant in Utah to do these! Their new location has an awesome viewing window where you can watch the noodle action. You can also watch them make their xlb! Noodles can be made regular or thick. This was my first time trying their thick noodles, which were very good! GF noodles are also available, although the GF ones are not handmade. Chow mein can be made GF, and the vegetable, miso, and tomato soups are GF for the ramen. Their menu is always adapting and changing. I typically get the braised beef noodles, but add a good amount of chili oil. The rice cakes in the shape of paws with the brown sugar syrup were so good! They had a few items I definitely want to try next time (spicy chili wontons and the hot & sour noodle soup). Thank you for lunch and for supporting this post, @oishiramen.520!
