Sofia and Carl Philip met in 2008 through a mutual friend at a dinner. They started to love each other quick and have since then lived together. The Swedish commoner and Swedish prince married in 2015, seven years after they first met. The Christian wedding ceremony was very traditional but had several personal touches through the music. They had for example a singer singing „fix you“ and for their leaving song they chose a pop song and all guests where cheering them on. Sofia and Carl Philip looked absolutely happy 🥹🩷 Sofia‘s wedding dress was costum designed by Swedish designer @idasjostedt 👰🏻‍♀️💖 To this she wore the Swedish Palmette Tiara that was gifted to her by her parents-in-law King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. Carl Philip wore his uniform of the Swedish navy. With the marriage Sofia became HRH Princess Sofia of Sweden, the Duchess of Värmland the title her husband held beforehand already.
