JUThis video is from 6 years ago. Julia was 3. Her official diagnosis is Level 3 Nonverbal Autism with Sensory Processing Disorder. She is a sensory seeker. She seeks out things to get sensory input.
There were many, many, many times she would do this, especially during a meltdown - and it was rarely in carpet. She didn’t care if it was hardwood, tile, or concrete. She did it enough to the point I was concerned and asked her doctor about it. He reassured me that, thankfully, her knees were cartilage at that time!
She hasn’t done this in quite a while, thank God, & I pray it stays that way. 🙏🏻
