This boy continues to get bigger and strongerβ¦ but his bond and love with me has remained constantβ¦ I am grateful. That isnβt always the case when you share life with a wild animal! Winston gets special time, as they all do, one on one inside the house hanging out. But since they got their own building and dedicated space to be naked, free, climbing, jumping, swinging and just being monkeysβ¦ theyβre more happy, balanced and laid back than ever.
The reality is, we love them, and they love usβ¦ but theyβre wild animals, and nurturing their natural behaviors and instincts is crucial to giving them the best possible lifeβ¦ they canβt go back into the wildβ¦ and we have a responsibility to keep them safe and secureβ¦
Thankful that we are privileged to share this life with nearly 2 dozen incredible monkeys, 6 species, and so many opportunities to learn, grow and rise to the challenge.
The last week or more had humbled me more than I imaginedβ¦ and I learned once againβ¦ Iβm no expert! These incredible animals keep me humbleβ¦ and they hold my heart!
