I made myself giggle with this one. 😊 My squeegee paintings definitely get the most love and if you’ve been following me for a while it probably won’t surprise you that I’m making a miniature version. I have a compulsive urge to make tiny art pieces; verging on pathological. 😆 Truthfully though, it’s been a really interesting experiment. It’s not a given that you can just scale down something you do with a squeegee. There’s a critical mass required for some techniques. It won’t blob and blend the way I want it too when there’s only a tiny speck of paint. Some of the mixing of colors doesn’t happen unless the paint is dragged at least 5 or 6 inches. It became immediately clear as I experimented that the majority of my squeegee techniques wouldn’t work in miniature form. But this one does. So tiny. So simple. And just a punch of color. I love how these littles turned out. The flip side of that experimentation is, as you find old techniques don’t pan out, you discover new things that DO. I’ve got a few tiny squeegee pieces done that are really different from any of the larger ones I’ve made. One of these days I’ll show you what I mean. #squeegeeart #squeegeepainting
