If you’re visiting St. Augustine, St. George Street is an absolute must-do. It’s a pedestrian-only street right in the historic district, which makes it so fun (and easy) to explore with kids.  Think: 🍦 Ice cream + sweet treat stops 🛍️ Local shops + unique finds 🍽️ Restaurants tucked into courtyards 🎶 Street performers + live music It’s basically the main hub of downtown St. Augustine, filled with history, charm, and so many places to pop in and out of while you wander. Washington Oaks is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and popular locations to take photos in the North East Florida area. With it’s large majestic oaks, beautiful gardens, and coquina rocks beach, it has become quite a popular spot for photographers (and tourist!) to visit throughout the year! Here’s a few tips to make the most out of your session at this gorgeous state park! 🌿 Plan your session for a weekday morning or evening. As with most popular tourist destinations, weekends are always the most populated. Try for an early morning session, or a late evening session throughout mid-week to avoid the crowds! 🌿 Bring bug spray (especially in the hotter months!) As the temperature starts to climb, it helps to have bug spray on hand. Certain areas of the park are thicker with vegetation, thus allowing a better breeding ground for mosquitos, and gnats. 🌿 Be mindful of others, (and the local wildlife!) On a beautiful day, it is not uncommon to encounter other park guests, (and on weekends, especially photographers!) Be courteous to those around you and be flexible with where you’d like to go throughout the park. There are many picturesque stops that you can utilize during your session time. During an early morning or late evening session, keep your eyes peeled for the local wildlife that you may encounter. It’s not unusual to see deer, owls, tortoises, and a few black snakes (totally harmless!) along your walk. 
 🌿 Know the rules. Being that it is a state park, there are obvious rules and guidelines to follow. There is a $5 entrance fee, as well as a $100 permit fee for those hosting a wedding or shooting in wedding attire (bridal gowns / suits). As well as knowing when the park closes - you will be given a few warnings prior to park closing, because they mean business when its time to lock the gates. The biggest is to stay out of undesignated areas. (One too many times, have these rules been broken, and if we all do our part, then we can keep the park open for photographers to utilize!)
