KAOkay, can we talk about one of America’s most charming cities? 🥹✨
St. Augustine, Florida, founded in 1565, is not only America’s oldest city, but also contains the narrowest street in America (Treasury Street at just 7 feet wide)
Other historical sites include the Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest masonry fort in the U.S., and the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse. The “Ancient City” doesn’t stop there with its wonders, with the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum, the St. Augustine Lighthouse, and more! 😍
And of course, the lively downtown with historic buildings and colorful streets filled with art and small businesses. Music flows through the air with local artists playing instruments of all kinds and poets and painters showcasing their art to make a living.
🏙️🌟 It’s one of those cities that you could visit over and over and see new things each time. But the best time to visit, by far, is during Christmastime when the sun sets and the city turns into a holiday wonderland! It may be the best (IMO), but St. Augustine is so charming that, really, anytime is a great time to visit!
