One of their many programs is #streetshare where they raise the money, organize the essential food supplies and distribute it hands on to the communities in need. This time around we reach out and supplied the ‘Care Package’ to Scavenger Community living on the outskirts of Jakarta. I was so happy to be a part of this Streetshare with my whole family, LITS and @connectgroups.tc ‘Sisters in Christ’. Together we managed to arrange 200 ‘Care Packages’ aka Sembako + organic veggies and eggs. We got an opportunity to share Gods tangible love to this Scavenger community.
When sharing about their journey and life they shared about how COVID deeply affected the community which lives on hand to mouth basis. They were also disappointed by growing import of garbage from foreign nations which have slashed there already minuscule income by half. We are praying and hoping for a complete and total revival of this scavenger community and we have complete faith that with God everything is possible 🙏❤️
