Most people stretch the body… But they ignore the nervous system. If you rush a stretch, force a stretch, or bounce through it… the nervous system reads that as danger. And when the nervous system feels danger, it does the opposite of what you want… It locks the body down even tighter. That’s why at The Stretch Loft we slow everything down. Breath first. It was a deeper and better stretch than I could ever do on my own. I can’t wait to do more sessions and see how it improves my climbing (and overall health). Would you do a stretch session? LOCAL TIPS: • Wear socks with grips on the bottom. It helps the flexologists. If you don’t have any, they sell them there. • Wear work out clothes. I’m rockin’ new gear from @fableticsmen. Reduce lactic acid + his mans and them (you know... ooh, no and owww - THEM!) 3. Anti muscle spams unless it's from "bedroom recreational activities." (Don't get me put in jail on this app. Use your colorful imaginations.) 4. Improve lymphatic flow (as in that organ that's part of the circulatory system - keeping them things flowing boo) 5. Improving range of motion (so you will not be moving like the tin man like me in these streets). As we get older, it's necessary to be well oiled engine not a cardboard box waiting to be caught in the rain to be limber. Love you boo. How's my 30+ crowd feeling today? 🤣 P.S. Hips like movement (fluidity) and strength, which means manual manipulation can often help with muscle tension. It’s the biggest ball-and-socket joint in our bodies. It does a lot of work for us every day, especially if you’re a pro bodybuilder or athlete, the muscles can get extremely overused and tight. My suggestion is: If you train a lot, make sure you move your hips in all planes of motion, consistently. Most of us overuse their hip flexors by keeping them in one position for too long (like sitting, driving or a lot of walking - sagittal plane) and not doing any other movements such as frontal or transverse planes of motion. With that being said, just take care of your hips and move them around. It’s my own reminder 🙂‍↕️ #stretchtherapy #athleticstretch #bodywork #thaimassage #stretch
