Nehal Bhattโs formal journey in design began at CEPT University, Ahmedabad, where she studied interior design. Her early professional years were shaped by hands-on experience with renowned interior and furniture design firms in Mumbai and Bangalore, giving her a strong foundation in both spatial design and craftsmanship.
From the outset, Nehalโs work was driven by a deep curiosity about materials and techniques, often exploring unconventional combinations to create bespoke design solutions. This experimental approach laid the groundwork for her independent practice, which she established in Ahmedabad in 2003. Her studio focused on residential and commercial projects, where each space was treated as a canvas for innovation, with furniture often taking centre stage.
Over time, Nehalโs design philosophy evolved into a distinctive language: furniture pieces that are not only space-conscious but also celebrate the interplay of materials, form, and fine detailing. These explorations gradually gave rise to a compelling collection of experimental, sculptural furniture rooted in functionality yet expressive in identity.
