STLet’s be honest, most days you won’t feel like studying.
You’ll scroll a bit, think about doing it later, maybe open your notes… then close them again.
It’s not because you’re lazy.
It’s because your brain is trained to avoid discomfort.
Here’s what actually works:
1. Lower the bar.
Don’t aim for 3 hours. Tell yourself “just 5 minutes.”
Once you start, momentum takes over.
2. Change your environment.
Move your body. Clean your desk. Go somewhere quiet.
Physical reset = mental reset.
3. Use the 5-minute rule.
Start the timer for 5 minutes. Study badly if you have to, the goal is just to start.
9 times out of 10, you’ll keep going.
Because the truth is:
You’re not supposed to “feel ready.”
You’re supposed to start anyway, and become the person who does things even when it’s hard.
