These materials also push magnetic fields completely out of their interior — a phenomenon called the Meissner Effect. 🔬 How Does It Work? — BCS Theory In conventional superconductors, vibrations inside the material help electrons pair up into Cooper pairs. These pairs move through the material without losing energy. This explanation is known as the BCS Theory proposed by Bardeen, Cooper, and Schrieffer in 1957. However, superconductivity is still not fully understood.
