_ISome supplications are more than requests — they are moments of recognition.
A man once called upon Allah with these words:
“Allahumma inni as’aluka bi-anni ashhadu annaka antallahu, la ilaha illa anta, al-Ahadus-Samad, alladhi lam yalid wa lam yulad, wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad.”
When the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (SAW), heard this supplication, he said:
“He has asked Allah by His Greatest Name — the One which, when He is called upon by it, He responds; and when He is asked by it, He gives.”
— Sunan Abi Dawud 1493, Jami‘ at-Tirmidhi 3475 (hasan)
This dua is powerful because it begins with recognition before request.
