After years of poor ownership, the worst season on record, and months of uncertainty about the future of one of the oldest football clubs in the world, Sheffield Wednesday is finally under new ownership.
On Saturday, having not won a game at home for over a year, and only winning one game all season, we beat West Brom - a win that took us UP to zero points for the end of the campaign.
The previous ownership saw us deducted 18 points this season, and the threat of a 15 point deduction next season - for the same reason - has been hanging over the club for months.
Relegated since February, with news of the new owners set to be confirmed before the kick off on Saturday, more than 33,000 fans filled Hillsborough stadium for a celebration.
The new owners - Arise Capital, led by David Storch - took to the pitch to introduce themselves to the crowd.
He revealed the iconic club badge, killed off by the previous owner against the wishes of the fan base, would return. Massive cheers.
He told the crowd he'd improve merchandise, food and drink - even the WiFi. He mentioned something about fielding a competetive team too 😂
But just before he left the pitch, he pointed to the big display screen and said, "We've got one more gift for you".

This is a brilliant piece of communication. They listened hard first. They crafted the delivery. They teed the moment up perfectly. And, wow - did it land!
These people won't get everything right - far from it - but they understand what an amazing journey they can take fans of this club on.
And if they can keep communicating and engaging as effectively as this - in the good times and the bad - we are in for some incredible times!
