What is pneumonia? 🫁 In order to get oxygen all the way into your bloodstream it needs to travel all the way from your mouth through the large tubes of your respiratory system and into the very bottom of your lungs. Here there are little sacs called alveoli. 🩸 This is where oxygen is passed into your bloodstream and carbon dioxide is taken out of your bloodstream and then exhaled out of your body. 🩻 When someone gets an infection like pneumonia, these sacs fill up with fluid or puss. This means that air can’t get to where it needs to go. You have a harder time getting enough oxygen into your body and you have a harder time getting carbon dioxide out of your body. #healthcareeducation #healtheducation #healthawareness #healthandwellness #healthtips

🫁 Pneumonia is more than just a bad cold. It’s an infection deep in the lungs, not just the airways, and it can become serious if not treated properly. And no, stepping out in the cold doesn’t cause pneumonia, that’s a myth. The confusion comes from similar symptoms like chills and fatigue, but the real causes are bacteria, viruses, or even fungi. 💊 Treatment depends on the cause. Bacterial pneumonia is treated with antibiotics, viral cases may need antivirals, and fungal infections require antifungal medication. In severe cases, it can even become life-threatening, which is why early diagnosis and proper care matter. #PneumoniaAwareness #LungHealth #MedicalFacts #HealthEducation #StayHealthy

What Really Happens to Your Lungs When You Get Pneumonia? 🫁 When you develop Pneumonia, the tiny air sacs in your lungs (alveoli) become inflamed and fill with fluid or pus. This makes it harder for oxygen to pass into your bloodstream, which is why many people experience shortness of breath, chest pain, fatigue, and persistent coughing. Understanding what happens in your lungs can help you recognize symptoms early and seek care when needed. Here are some Frequently Asked Questions About Pneumonia 1️⃣ What are the early symptoms of pneumonia? Common early symptoms include persistent cough, fever, chills, chest pain when breathing, fatigue, and difficulty breathing. 2️⃣ Can pneumonia go away on its own? Mild cases sometimes improve with rest and fluids, but many cases require medical evaluation and treatment such as antibiotics (for bacterial pneumonia). 3️⃣ How do people get pneumonia? Pneumonia can develop from bacteria, viruses, or fungi, often after a cold or respiratory infection. 4️⃣ Who is most at risk? Higher-risk groups include older adults, young children, people with chronic illnesses, and those with weakened immune systems. 5️⃣ When should you see a doctor? Seek medical care if you experience severe shortness of breath, high fever, confusion, chest pain, or worsening symptoms. Learning the warning signs of pneumonia can help prevent complications and protect your lung health. pneumonia symptoms, early signs of pneumonia, what happens to lungs with pneumonia, pneumonia treatment, pneumonia causes, pneumonia recovery, pneumonia breathing problems, pneumonia explained, pneumonia infection lungs, pneumonia warning signs #Pneumonia #PneumoniaSymptoms #LungHealth #RespiratoryHealth #MedicalEducation #HealthFacts #HealthcareEducation #ShortnessOfBreath #MedicalExplained #HealthAwareness #HealthcareTips #DoctorExplains For Entertainment purposes only, NOT A DIAGNOSTIC
