SILearn more about mouth morphemes and ASL grammar in this mind-blowing Zoom session led by @aslinguisticswithjamila and @signplaying . We will teach you some overlooked features of ASL grammar, including word order, mouth morphemes, and labels.

Signplaying: Some people have their mind set on using only one mouth morpheme for one sign. For example, there's this sign "RICHc" and they may always constantly be using the puffed cheeks when signing "RICHc". What do you think about that?
Jamila: To only use one mouth morpheme for "RICHc", be careful! You have to look at the entire sentence, like what is signed before, and what is signed after. You have to look at the sentence, not only thinking about one particular sign and using only one mouth morpheme for that sign. You need to look at the sentence itself.
Signplaying: Oh, I would love to learn more about ASL grammar and how sentences are structured, and the influences of mouth morphemes & signs. We need more of that kind of discussion. So, I'm excited that the both of us are collaborating in this Zoom session. Come join!
