Volunteering is flexible and allows you to be part of our local arts community on a schedule that works for you. No prior experience is necessary as we provide an orientation and pair you with a mentor for your first shift. Whether you are an individual or part of a local organization we have a place for you on our team.

CA🎭 Teatro Miami Opens Its Doors✨
The inaugural production at Teatro Miami felt like witnessing the birth of a cultural home our community truly needs. From the intentional, welcoming space to the emotionally powerful opening performance, everything about this venue reflects purpose, artistry, and heart.
The debut production, The Great Wonders Circus: Finally Closes Its Doors by renowned Cuban playwright Abilio Estévez, was a striking statement. With rich performances and a deeply resonant message, it reminded us that Cuban and Hispanic theater in South Florida is not only alive—but evolving beautifully.
Spaces like this matter. They connect art, education, memory, and identity, and they strengthen Miami-Dade’s cultural fabric in meaningful ways. Leaving Teatro Miami, I felt hopeful—and grateful—for what’s ahead for the arts in our community.

I’m excited (and honestly still a little in awe) to share that I’ve joined @hobbycenterhou as Director of Marketing and Communications.
This is a brand new role that expands the marketing team as part of the Hobby Center’s bigger vision to grow beyond being just a presenting venue and really step into its role as a convener, connector, and incubator for arts and culture in Houston.
I’m working alongside my new boss Lise Bohn and the leadership of @markfolkes, helping tell the Hobby Center’s story, connect more people to the arts, and support its mission of bringing the best of Broadway and world-class programming to our city from local to global talent.
What makes this especially meaningful is getting closer to the art again. After years of working around it, advocating for it, and telling its stories, being back in the heart of it all feels so right.
And let me tell you… my first week has been OMG in the best possible way. The people, the energy, the performances, the vision for what’s ahead…it’s all been incredibly inspiring.
I’ve experienced the Hobby Center over the years as an audience member, performer, journalist, and lifelong arts lover, and seeing its evolution up close now is something special. The momentum is real. The future is exciting.
And yes… I’m trying not to sing Don’t Rain on My Parade every time I walk into work.
(I failed. You would too.)
So grateful for the warm welcome and excited for this next chapter and for everything ahead for Houston’s arts community.
