This is the definitive Droopy short directed by Tex Avery. The story kicks off when a millionaire leaves his entire fortune to the tiny, monotone Droopy—but there’s a catch. If Droopy dies, the money goes to the second-in-line, the tall and devious Spike. Spike spends the rest of the cartoon attempting to "eliminate" Droopy with increasingly ridiculous and explosive traps. However, because it’s a Tex Avery cartoon, Droopy’s calm luck is impenetrable, while every single one of Spike’s plans backfires in spectacular, physics-defying fashion.

Northwest Hounded Police (1946) — This frantic Tex Avery cartoon stars Droopy as a Mountie who is tasked with capturing a desperate wolf escapee, leading to a legendary chase that spans the entire globe.
The most famous running gag in this short features Droopy appearing in impossible locations—under a rug, inside a safe, or even behind a waterfall—every time the wolf thinks he has finally escaped. To heighten the absurdity, Tex Avery instructed the animators to draw the wolf’s “take” (his shocked reaction) with increasing intensity, eventually resulting in his eyes literally popping out of his head and his jaw dropping to the floor.
Interestingly, this film is considered a masterpiece of “logic-defying” animation, as Droopy never actually runs or exerts himself; he simply exists wherever the wolf goes. This subversion of physics became a staple of the character’s humor, proving that a slow, monotone dog could be more terrifyingly persistent than any high-speed predator in the history of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

Droopy Catches a Fox" is a short cartoon released in 1944 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, directed by Tex Avery. It was one of the early appearances of Droopy, the soft-spoken, slow-moving dog who always manages to outwit his opponents.
In this cartoon, a fox escapes from hunters and takes refuge in Droopy's home, thinking it will be an easy hiding place. However, the fox quickly learns that Droopy is far more clever and relentless than he appears. Through a series of gags and clever reversals, Droopy continually outsmarts the fox, leading to the classic punchline: "You know what? That makes me mad."
