This is called spot cleaning using white petrol.
Almost every fabric/garment manufacturer has done this at some point.
Why?
Because during handling, stitching, packing.. small oil stains, machine marks, finger marks appear.
And when you’re dispatching fabric or garments, you can’t send it with even a tiny stain.
White petrol helps because:
• It evaporates quickly
• It doesn’t leave water marks
• It lifts oil-based stains
• It dries fast
• It doesn’t damage most fabrics (when used correctly)
It’s not “petrol from pump”.
It’s refined solvent used in garment finishing.
This is one of those behind-the-scenes things people don’t see when they buy a clean kurta or blazer.
Fashion looks clean on rack.
Finishing floor pe it’s chaos + jugaad + experience.
