POLet’s talk about the glob in the room: NeeDoh. 🌈
We love that you love them. We really do! But after our last “Big Drop” Saturday—which involved a line down the block and a level of intensity usually reserved for front-row concert tickets—we’ve realized that announcing drops is a bit like opening a soda can after shaking it. It’s a lot of pressure, and someone usually ends up sticky.
To keep the vibes at Poppy’s more “cozy community hub” and less “high-stakes scavenger hunt,” we’re changing things up:
🤫 The “Secret Drop” Era: We get small shipments throughout the week, but we’re officially retiring the Big Announcements. We’ll be tucking them onto shelves quietly as they arrive.
🚫 Phone Break: Our poor shop phones are currently working overtime. To keep our team present with the folks in the store, we won’t be giving stock updates over the phone.
👀 The Insta-Hint: Your best bet? Keep an eye on our Stories for a Needoh update, dm us or better yet, just pop in for a boba and see what’s new!
🤝 Fair Squishing: We’re still enforcing strict limits per person. We want as many hands on these as possible!
We’ve been announcing drops as a kindness, but we hate that it’s leading to disappointment (and some very spicy Google reviews) when the physics of supply and demand don’t go our way. We can’t actually manifest more NeeDohs in the back room—trust us, we’ve tried.
