This combination ensures you transfer the weight from your shoulders to an overhead position effectively. A common mistake is pressing too early on the way up and squatting too early on the way down. To help visualize this, I’ve added green and red areas in the video. Make sure the barbell reaches the green area before you start pressing. On the way down, wait until the barbell is back on your shoulders before you start squatting. Watch the visual cues in the video to understand the proper sequence: 1️⃣ Legs: Extend fully before pressing. 2️⃣ Shoulders: Drive the bar up. 3️⃣ Arms: Finish the press above the head. I believe this was around a 10lbs PR (125-165-187-197 ✅-200 ❌). Been putting in the strength work in the off season with @thebarbellwod / @cal_strength & @itslex24 💪🏽. One more week of the Open. It’s been nice to watch the athletes of my home affiliate @cf_colosseum throw down each week and support each other! This is what the Open is all about!
