It’s like productivity on steroids, minus the rage.
Here’s the deal:
How to Timebox in Three Steps:
1. Brain Dump
Write down everything you need to do. Don’t hold back — big, small, stupid — get it all out.
2. Prioritize!!
Pick your top three. Not 12. Three.
3. Box It In
Give each priority a specific block of time. Put it in your calendar.
Why It Works
• You don’t waste half your day deciding what to do first.
• You focus on what actually matters instead of putting out random fires.
• You learn how long tasks really take (spoiler: they’re either not as bad as you think, or way worse than you think).
Why You Need This Over the Holidays-
Holidays are a black hole for routines. Before you know it, you’ve spent three days bingeing Netflix and wondering if “later” is a real time. That’s absolutely okay if you need a break — but if you’re like me, and you’ve got family time, long walks, overdue catch-ups, a new workout plan, and ambitious projects like making artisanal marshmallows (yes, really), timeboxing can save your sanity.
(Although I’ll admit, the top of my timebox list is ‘finish book’ and ‘finish thesis’ - marshmallows will have to wait)
