ACOur favorite setup explained
This is one of our favorite trading strategies, observed on the SPY 5 min timeframe on April 24, 2025. Here’s what we saw:
AccuTrader is a trading journal app designed to help you become a more disciplined trader. Link in bio.
Markets overall were in a cautious bounce mode. By cautious, we mean it saw a quick move up, with the previous session gapping high but closing near lows.
This session opened with a smooth uptrend, easily clearing the SMA trendline, showing strength.
Then the midday consolidation took place, retesting liquidity (see wick, this would have been a good SL point), and maintaining higher lows before continuing to breakout higher.
