Switch your mindset! How many years have we tried to shrink ourselves?! What if we focused all that energy in a different direction? Let’s start focusing on becoming the STRONGEST version of ourselves. If you want to drop fat, lift weights. If you want to build muscle, lift weight. If you want to improve/increase your metabolism, lift weights. If you want to drop fat and build muscle, eat a high protein diet all while staying in a deficit and lifting weights! Lifting weights + consuming a high protein diet is one of the BEST things all of us can do no matter what our goals are. You must take control of your own health and there’s things you can do every single day to improve your life. It starts with you. If you don’t know where to start, start slow. Start with consuming protein (30g) at every meal, start walking 30 minutes a day, start my strength training x pilates program, drink more water, etc. Start small and repeat. NO MORE DAY ONES! I want to help you get in the best shape of your life.. They’re looking at you. You’re looking at the bar. And suddenly every cue you’ve ever learned disappears. Knowing what to say in the moment when someone relies on you to guide their movement is one of the most common insecurities trainers face. A lot of trainers think better cueing means saying more. But. we’ve learned, most clients don’t need more words ... they need the right words, said simply. Action Step 👉 Before your next session, choose one movement pattern you want to focus on. IT MAKES SENSE (why lunges have always felt kinda weird & wobbly & you just grit and get through em when they come up in class) …but we can do better 😘😘🫡 lunges are basically a team-building trust exercise between your hips, knees, & ankles - and if anyone’s bringing some extra baggage to the table (limited mobility, instability, pain history, etc.), we need to get everyone on the same page, first. it’s not cheating or faking or expressing weakness to set yourself up for success. learning a new movement is like learning a new language - the human body was not born doing perfect beautiful robotic reverse lunges. it takes PRACTICE ‼️ get comfy so you can focus on the WORK - don’t worry about what it looks like. #lungeform #formcheck #reverselunges #reverselunge #lungesworkout #trainertips #trainertip #kneefriendlyexercises

The hip thrust is freaking gold for targeting the hamstrings & glutes, ESP if you are quad dominant like me & have had trouble connecting to your glutes with other movements like a squat. If you still have trouble connecting to your glutes, I recommend adding a 2-3 second hold at the top of the hip thrust. The best part about hip thrusts is the injury risk is low compared to other compound lifts, so you can load that weight!
