taking pregnancy tests again after infertility just feels heavy. like you want to be excited, but there’s always this quiet voice in the back of your head reminding you how it felt last time. month five, and it’s the same thoughts on repeat: maybe this is it - don’t get too excited - but what if it is - okay but protect your heart… it’s such a strange place to be… hoping so deeply while also trying not to feel too much at all. I keep coming back to this:“you can hold grief and hope in the same hand and still choose to move forward.” and that’s what this is. not fearless. not carefree. just choosing to try again anyway. so… here we are #NationalInfertilityAwarenessWeek #InfertilityJourney #TryingToConceive #TTCCommunity

After my miscarriage (podcast on this is up To Her Health, link in bio) I wanted to make sure to have the healthiest body & pregnancy possible ❤️ 1. Tested Progesterone. This is the hormone that confirms ovulation and prepares the uterine lining for implantation. Low progesterone = fertilized egg can’t properly attach 2. Ate enough. Ovulation is energy-dependent. Undereating raises cortisol and suppresses GnRH, your brain literally pauses ovulation to protect you. 3. Balanced blood sugar with protein, healthy fats & fiber. High insulin disrupts ovarian hormone signaling and increases androgens (seen in PCOS). Stable glucose helps follicles mature and improves egg quality. 4. Supplemented smart. Egg development takes ~90 days. Zinc, selenium, iodine, choline, folate, NAC, CoQ10, Omega-3s, iron (if low) and B-vitamins directly support ovulation, egg quality, hormone production and embryo development. All the supplements I took are linked to my ShopMy under “trying to conceive” 5. Prioritized good sleep & rest. Short sleep = irregular ovulation + lower progesterone. 6. Reduced chronic stress. Your body will not prioritize pregnancy if it thinks survival is threatened. 8. Strength trained (but stopped overtraining). Muscle improves insulin sensitivity and ovarian function. But excessive cardio raises cortisol and can suppress ovulation. 9. Cleaned up endocrine disruptors. BPA, phthalates and pesticides can interfere with estrogen and progesterone receptors. They don’t cause infertility alone, but they can affect hormone balance. 10. Ate fertility-supportive fats. Cholesterol is the raw material for progesterone and estrogen. Very low-fat diets are strongly linked to anovulatory cycles. 11. Supported gut & liver. You ovulate in the ovaries but metabolize hormones in the liver and gut. Poor estrogen clearance = estrogen dominance = low progesterone symptoms. 12. Included my partner. Sperm quality affects implantation and miscarriage risk, not just conception. When it comes to fertility, egg quality matters more than quantity. But how do you know if your eggs are healthy? Here are some key signs 👇 • Regular menstrual cycles – Consistent cycles (around 24–35 days) often indicate proper ovulation and better egg health. • Healthy AMH levels – Anti-Müllerian Hormone reflects your ovarian reserve. Balanced levels suggest a good number of viable eggs. • Normal FSH levels – Lower Follicle Stimulating Hormone (especially on Day 2/3) is linked with better egg quality. • Good antral follicle count (AFC) – Sufficient visible follicles on ultrasound usually mean better ovarian response. • Healthy lifestyle – Balanced diet, regular exercise, good sleep, and low stress directly support egg health. • Age factor – Younger age (especially under 35) is strongly associated with better egg quality. • Minimal hormonal imbalance – Conditions like PCOS or thyroid issues, when managed well, improve egg health outcomes. Remember, egg quality can’t be judged by one factor alone it’s a combination of your hormones, lifestyle, and overall health. ✨ If you’re planning your fertility journey, understanding your body is the first step. 👉 Save this for later & share with someone who needs to know! . . . . . .
