Do you really need your TSH between 0.5 and 1.0? It’s a common claim—but it’s not the full story. Yes, some people feel best with TSH in the low-normal range—especially those already on thyroid meds or recovering from thyroid cancer. But that doesn’t mean everyone needs to force their numbers into that window. 📌 In healthy people, TSH naturally varies. It can be temporarily elevated during illness or stress—or for no clear reason at all—and often normalizes without doing anything more than retesting. Fluctuations don’t always mean something’s wrong, and they rarely mean medication is needed. ⚠️ One of the biggest mistakes in thyroid care is when someone is told to start medication just because their TSH isn’t “optimal.” That’s simply not supported by the evidence. ✅ If you’re feeling well and your TSH is in range, there’s no need to stress about hitting a specific number. TSH is just one piece of your overall thyroid picture—not the whole story. 💡 Want to know what optimal looks like for your situation? 👇 Comment “optimal” and I’ll send you the free calculator to check your levels. #thyroidhealth #optimalthyroid #thyroidtesting #drchristianson #thyroidsupport

‼️ 6 FOODS FOR THYROID HEALTH To make thyroid hormones, the body needs iodine + tyrosine. To activate them, it also needs selenium, zinc, and enough protein. That’s where food matters. 🦐 Shrimp - provides iodine - iodine is used to build thyroid hormones - also contains selenium for additional support 🌿 Seaweed - one of the richest natural iodine sources - helps provide raw material for hormone production 🎃 Pumpkin seeds - rich in zinc - zinc supports hormone production - also helps with hormone conversion pathways 🥜 Brazil nuts - one of the richest selenium sources - selenium helps convert T4 into active T3 - also protects thyroid cells from oxidative stress 🧀 Cheese - provides tyrosine - tyrosine is one of the main amino acids used to build thyroid hormones - also provides protein 🥚 Eggs - contain iodine - selenium - protein - choline - support overall thyroid function 📌 Key idea Your thyroid needs building blocks and activation nutrients. Food helps provide both.

❌ Wait… this is NOT normal tiredness Hypothyroidism is a condition where the thyroid gland doesn’t produce enough thyroid hormones (T3 & T4), leading to a slowing down of the body’s metabolism. It often develops gradually, so many people ignore the symptoms until it starts affecting daily life. Common signs include: • Persistent fatigue 😴 • Unexplained weight gain ⚖️ • Cold intolerance 🥶 • Dry skin & hair fall 💇‍♀️ • Constipation 🚫 • Depression / low mood 🧠 Most common cause: 👉 Autoimmune destruction of thyroid (Hashimoto’s thyroiditis) Diagnosis: 📊 High TSH + Low T3/T4 Good news: It is easily manageable with proper treatment (thyroxine replacement) 💊 Save this so you don’t ignore the early signs ⚠️ Follow for more simplified medical content 🧠✨ #mednotes #explorepage #mbbs #hypothroidism #medicalstudents

Maybe. But sometimes your doctor may just say: “Let’s watch + support naturally” 🧠 Support your thyroid with: 🥜 Selenium 🎃 Zinc ☀️ Vitamin D 🍽️ Balanced meals 🧘 Stress management 🎯 Bottom line: Don’t ignore a high TSH – even if T3/T4 are normal Your body whispers before it screams 😶‍🌫️ Catch it early ❤️ 📩 DM me if your thyroid is confusing too – I’ll help you decode it 🙋🏻‍♀️ #thyroidhealth #hypothyroid #TSH #hormonebalance #reelwithpreeti

Comment down "Optimal" to get optimal ranges for Thyroid Tests It’s frustrating to have terrible symptoms and still have no diagnosis just because your TSH bloodwork comes back “NORMAL" If you're still struggling with weight gain , fatigue , hairfall because of a poor thyroid function you need to stop normalizing falling under a set “reference range” because it might be normal but definitely not OPTIMAL! Thyroid test ka asli raaz FT3 aur FT4 me chhupa hai… Apni report sahi padho, sahi samjho! 💉🧠” ⸻ 💣 3 Common Galtiyaan jo log thyroid report me karte hain: 1️⃣ Sirf TSH dekh lena 2️⃣ Lab ki ‘normal range’ ko health samajhna 3️⃣ Apne aap se thyroxine lena! ⸻ 🧠 Report ka sahi analysis: TSH ke saath hamesha FT3 & FT4 bhi dekho, symptoms se match karo. TSH normal ho kar bhi aap hypothyroid ho sakte ho — agar FT3/FT4 low ho! ⸻ 📌 Labwala Ki Advice: Kai log poochte hain – T3 aur Free T3 me kya farak hai? 🔹 T3 blood me protein se chipka hota hai (inactive) 🔹 Free T3 hi asli active hormone hota hai 👉 Isliye hamesha Free T3 / Free T4 ka value important hota hai, wahi asli thyroid function batata hai. ⸻ 🔁 Isse un logo tak pahunchao jinke test normal hain, par symptoms fir bhi hain. 👇 Comment karo agar tumhari report confusing lagi ho kabhi. ⸻ #ThyroidTest #TSHExplained #HormoneHealth #ThyroidAwareness #labwala_advance #ThyroidReport #FT3FT4 #TSHNormalMyth

1) “High-normal” TSH can still harm fertility Even TSH in the upper normal range (≈2.5–4.5 mIU/L) may reduce implantation and increase early miscarriage risk—especially in IVF cycles. For conception, many fertility specialists aim TSH ~1–2.5 mIU/L, not just “within normal.” 2) It affects egg quality, not just ovulation Thyroid hormones act on ovarian mitochondria. Suboptimal thyroid function → poorer oocyte energy production → lower embryo competence, even if cycles look regular. 3) Silent autoimmunity matters (TPO antibodies) Women with normal TSH but positive thyroid antibodies have higher miscarriage rates and implantation failure. The immune effect on the endometrium may be the culprit—not the hormone level alone. 4) Endometrium receptivity link (very under-discussed) Thyroid hormones influence endometrial blood flow and receptivity genes. Subclinical hypothyroidism can lead to a good-looking lining that is functionally unreceptive — embryos don’t “stick” despite triple-line thickness. 5) Prolactin connection High TRH (in hypothyroidism) can raise prolactin → disrupt ovulation and luteal phase. So unexplained high prolactin sometimes traces back to thyroid dysfunction. 6) IVF medication changes thyroid needs Estrogen (from stimulation or pregnancy) increases thyroid-binding proteins → TSH can rise suddenly during IVF or early pregnancy. Patients on thyroxine often need dose increase early, not after a problem appears. 7) Male fertility is affected too Hypothyroidism in men → reduced sperm motility and morphology. Often overlooked when only female partner is evaluated. Ideal TSH before conception: ~1–2.5 mIU/L • Check TPO antibodies if infertility or recurrent loss • Recheck TSH as soon as pregnancy is positive • Ensure adequate iodine + selenium (but not excess) #drshitaljadhav #ivfkandivali #ivfjourney #pregnancyjourney #tsh
