🤔 Anyone else feeling frustrated with Instagram or technology in general?
🌺 Adam Mosseri, the CEO of Instagram – who genuinely seems like a good guy – has just introduced a new feature called ‘tune your Algorithm.’ It’s meant to help us shape what we see: more of what we like, less of what we don’t. And according to Adam, it’s FUN to play with!
👏 I get it. Instagram has to evolve or it becomes irrelevant. But let’s not forget, Adam is a man in his early 40s. For those of us in our 50’s, 60s, 70s and beyond, who didn’t grow up with tech, these constant changes are a big ask. Every time we finally figure out how the platform works, another feature drops, and it feels like the rug gets pulled out from under us, yet again.
🦋 What’s really frustrating me at the moment is that many of my followers aren’t seeing my posts. Simply because they haven’t ‘tuned’ their algorithm. WTF? Who even knows they have to do any tuning. Instagram doesn’t exactly send out a memo, unless you’re already following Adam.
🌻 Don’t get me wrong. I love technology. I want to stay engaged and continue to be excited. But I’m not going to pretend it isn’t challenging. And if I find it hard—someone who’s on Instagram most days—then I can only imagine what it’s like for those who aren’t regular uses.
😎 Anyway, that’s my rant for today. I’ll keep learning, keep adapting, and keep showing up. But right now, I’m gonna drink a sweet, milky chai, eat a chocolate muffin, and watch the world go by

It’s sad because the human voice is such a beautiful thing and live raw vocals are amazingly interesting to listen to.. but not when they are computerized and artificially perfected.
And not saying autotune always makes vocals sound dehumanized or that autotune is wrong in all cases.
