A bit of a different video from me today but I said I wanted to get into some cooking videos so here’s my quick and easy Soy & Spicy Salmon Stirfry. 🤩 Ingredients: (I got mine from Tesco but you can substitute for similar items obviously) Pre-cooked hot smoked chilli salmon Crunchy stirfry pack Uncle Bens Chinese microwave rice Broccoli Frylight Light Soy 1 egg Kimchi Spices: coriander, five spice, chilli flakes Recipe: Boil broccoli. Boil eggs. Fry stirfry veg on med-high heat for 3 mins, add spices and rice. (I used half a pack and a couple of handfuls of veg for one portion) Add spices and soy sauce to taste. Top rice stirfry mix with salmon, egg and kimchi & devour. Hybrid wok & knife kindly gifted from @hexclad 😍 #cooking #healthymeals #gym #mealprep #easymeal #easymealprep #fitness #nutrition

This is a complex carb that’s gonna slowly release energy and keep you feeling full Then grab some pre cooked chicken, which is gonna aid the growth and repair of muscle fibers while also being extremely satiating and helping us stay fuller for longer Next is grab some low calorie sauce to give it a bit of flavour for no extra calories Now when you add this up, it comes to about 500 calories which is double the packet of mugshot But it’s far better to have this and actually stay full rather than eating empty calories and being starving the whole day. More tips to stay on top of tracking your calorie intake when you’re eating out. 📱⬇️. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📷 If you’re eating at a restaurant & don’t want to be faffing around on MFP, snap a quick photo (most people are doing it for the gram anyway!) and then track based on that later rather than trying to recall from memory. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🥘 👀 Use like for like comparisons when eyeballing. I get my clients to track using similar dishes at restaurants that do have macros online. E.g a pizza or pasta dish? - use Pizza Express. A steak and chips? - use Harvester. A portion of rice? How does it compare to an uncle bens express bag? Etc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🍗 🥗 Keep it simple - If you really are keen to see progress, stick to ordering single ingredient foods where possible. Never noticed how much this simple act of taking rice and running cold water and scrubbing through my hands would remind me of my mom doing this when I was a kid. Many times I would not wash the rice and just start cooking it away, thus resulting in clumpy rice.
