Ham, Cider, Spice & 🍊🍯🍖 everything nice! This ham is soft, sticky, sweet, and deeply savoury— slow-cooked overnight in apple and blood orange cider, then lacquered in a golden, glossy glaze spiced just enough to make your kitchen smell like the best parts of Easter, Christmas, and a countryside pub roast all rolled into one. It’s low effort, high impact, and 100% guaranteed to seduce your guests… or at the very least get you marriage proposals at the dinner table. 🛒 SHOPPING LIST:   For the ham pot: * 1 whole ham (unsliced gammon joint) * Apple cider (a few bottles to cover the ham) * 1 bottle blood orange cider (or just more apple cider) * 1 onion, halved * 2 bay leaves * A handful of fresh thyme * A few parsley stalks * Black peppercorns * Zest of 1 orange   For the glaze: * Honey * Zest and juice of 1 orange * Wholegrain mustard * Demerara sugar * Ground spices — think: cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, maybe a touch of allspice (go for anything warm and orangey-brown, basically) * A splash more apple cider 👩‍🍳 METHOD (Save this!): 1. BOIL THAT HAM: Pop the ham in a large pot. Cover with the apple cider and blood orange cider. Add the onion, herbs, orange zest, and peppercorns. Simmer low and slow for 8 hours(overnight is perfect). Your house will smell divine. 1. NEXT MORNING — GLORIOUS GLAZE TIME: In a small pan, stir together honey, orange zest and juice, mustard, a splash of cider, the sugar, and those warm Eastery spices. Let it simmer until thick and shiny. 1. NOW, TAKE OFF THE SKIN. (I forgot, so don’t be me.) Remove the skin, leave a layer of fat, and gently score it in a criss-cross. 1. GLAZE & ROAST: Brush that glaze all over the ham, roast at 200°C (fan 180°C). Baste every 10 minutes, in and out the oven like you mean it, until sticky, burnished, and beautiful. #ham #bakedham #ciderham #hamrecipe #food #recipe #foodie #foodies #instafood #foodreel #recipes

Any unauthorized use or reproduction of this content will be reported and flagged. Ingredients: • 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (or boneless ) 8–10 lbs) • ½ cup honey • ½ cup brown sugar • 1-2 tbsp Dijon mustard(optional) • ½ cup orange & pineapple juice mix (half and half) • 1 tsp allspice • 1 tsp cinnamon • ½ tsp nutmeg • 1 tsp onion powder • 1 tsp garlic powder • 1 Tbsp butter • Pineapple slices (to line the bottom of your tray) ⸻ 🔪 Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 375F Line a baking tray with foil for easy cleanup. 2. Prepare the base: Lay pineapple slices across the bottom of the tray — this helps flavor the ham and keeps it juicy. 3. Score the ham: If not pre-sliced, lightly score the surface in a crisscross pattern to help the glaze soak in. 4. Make the glaze: In a saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, mustard, orange-pineapple juice, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, onion powder, garlic powder, and butter. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thick and glossy. 5. Glaze and bake: • Place the ham on top of the pineapple slices. • Brush generously with glaze. • Cover loosely with foil and bake for 1½–2 hours, brushing with more glaze every 20–30 minutes. 6. Caramelize: For the last 10–15 minutes, remove foil and increase oven to 400°F (200°C) to let the glaze bubble and caramelize beautifully. 7. Rest & serve: Let ham rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Spoon the glaze and roasted pineapple juices from the tray over the top for that glossy finish #honeyglazedham #easyrecipes #thanksgivingham #ham #spiralham #christmasdinner #thanksgivingvibes #eveyeatz

Thanksgiving Glazed Ham #3 This is my absolute fav way to make Thanksgiving ham. It's juicy, crispy outter and a deliciously done ham. Every time I make it, it's the first to go! Enjoy Recipe below ⬇️ 1 8-10lb bone in ham 1-2 large oranges , juiced (1/4cup) 1 cup pineapple juice 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard 2 tablespoons maple syrup 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2-1tsp ground cloves (or nutmeg) 2 knobs of butter 1/4 cup water **to remove the saltiness of ham, remove from packaging, rinse the ham , pat dry then in a very large pot enough to submerge the ham entirely, add the ham and gingerale until half way up. Add water to fill remaining until ham is fully submerged in liquid and refrigerate. Do this 24-48 hours prior. **the next day remove all liquid, fill with water again and place in fridge. Change at least 3 times before cooking. **remove ham from liquid pat dry completely and create a diamond effect score with sharp knife to allow the glaze to penetrate the ham. **place on a rack in a baking pan or place ham on pineapple/orange slices lined up on the bottom of pan then place ham on top **prepare glaze on stove top and once it comes to a simmer, remove from heat and pour while brushing only half the glaze on ham. Allow some glaze to sit at bottom of pan. **cover with aluminum foil and bake in oven at 325* F for 1 hour, then remove after half hour and glaze again, put back in raise to 350*F for only 1 hour. After another 20 min glaze again using its juices and continue every 20 min until ready . That glaze will darken, thicken then last half hour raise temp to 400* F cook another half hour until ready. Internal temp should be 140 degrees. *total cooking is 2.5 hours. If you have a smaller/large ham you'll need diff timingso bake accordingly. **the key is to glaze constantly and if you need more liquid add more glaze/water at bottom of pan. #ham #thanksgiving #thanksgivingham #hamrecipe #spiralham #boneinham #holidayham #porkham #thanksgivingrecipes #thanksgivingdinner #thanksgivingtable #recipe #bake #bakedham #glazedham #pineapplejuice #baking #easter #explore #christmasham

Season 2 of My Christmas Table ✨ Day 19 - Orange & Honey Mustard Glazed Ham INGREDIENTS 3-4kg - centre cut ham joint or gammon 2 - onions 2 - large carrots 2 - oranges 4 - garlic cloves, smashed 3- bay leaves 1 tbsp - mustard seeds 1 tbsp - black peppercorns 2-3 - sprigs of rosemary & thyme A small bunch of parsley 2 - bay leaves Glaze 2 tbsp - light brown sugar 3 tbsp - honey 1 tbsp - wholegrain mustard 3 tbsp - freshly squeezed orange juice 1/2 tbsp - olive oil 1. Soak your ham overnight in cold water to draw out some of the salt. 2. Place some of the vegetables in the bottom of a large pot. Add the ham on top, then the remaining vegetables, herbs and spices. Cover with cold water and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer immediately and cook for approx 15-20 mins per kg or until you reach an internal temp of 60C. 3. Prepare the glaze by mixing all ingredients in a bowl. 4. Preheat the oven to 170C. 5. Remove the ham from the water and allow it to cool slightly for 10-20 minutes. Carefully remove the skin leaving the fat in tact and carefully cut a criss cross pattern through the fat but not down as far as the flesh. 6. Brush the ham with a thin layer of the glaze and place into the oven with a splash of water in the base of the tray, giving yourself approx 1 hour and 15 minutes worth of time. Cook for 20 minutes add another layer of glaze and repeat every 5-10 minutes until the ham is cooked - I highly recommend using a thermometer for the perfect ham, it will be done when it reaches an internal temp of 65C-70C (my 3G ham was done in only 40 minutes) - a good guide is around 15 minutes per kg. 7. Let it sit for 20 minutes before slicing and serving! #christmasham #ham #glazedham #christmasdinner

Ham sarnies all-week long (without 1000 packs of ham) 🐽 Sticky pineapple ham Serves 10 Takes 2 hrs GF DF 2kg unsmoked boneless gammon 750ml pineapple juice 1 onion, quartered 1 carrot, quartered 1 celery stick, halved 1 bay leaf 10 peppercorns 1 cinnamon stick For the glaze 200ml pineapple juice 100g honey 50g light brown soft sugar 1 tbsp Dijon mustard 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar ½ tsp chilli flakes (optional) 1. Remove netting from the gammon and discard. Place gammon in a large lidded saucepan, cover with cold water and bring to the boil over a high heat, then drain the water from the saucepan. 2. Add the pineapple juice, 500ml cold water, the onion, carrot, celery, bay leaf, peppercorns and cinnamon stick to the saucepan, then bring to the boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer very gently for 1 hr 20 mins (or 20 mins per 500g), turning the ham over halfway through cooking. 3. Meanwhile, combine all the glaze ingredients in a small saucepan and heat gently until the sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a simmer. Simmer, uncovered, for 15-20 mins, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to a syrup consistency. 4. Preheat the oven to gas 6, 200°C, fan 180°C. Discard the cooking liquid and vegetables, then remove the skin with a sharp knife and discard, leaving only a thin layer of fat. Score a diamond pattern into the fat. Transfer to a baking tray lined with foil, then cover with half of the glaze. 5. Bake for 15 mins, then brush again with the remaining glaze. Return to the oven to bake again for a further 10-15 mins until the ham is sticky and golden brown. Pour any baking juices caught in the foil over the sliced ham before serving. 6. To store: once completely cooled, cover with clingfilm (or baking paper and foil) and store in the fridge. Don’t carve too much ahead of time or the meat can dry out; just carve as needed. #tesco
