It’s not very often that the idea I have from fabric to finish pans out like I envisioned so this was a big win for me. I’ve already been wearing this jacket a lot in the pre-spring weather and enjoy using the giant hacked pockets for everything I need when I go out. It was 100° this week so I felt mildly ridiculous making a jacket, but we do what we must for our art 😂 I was gifted this beautiful embroidered cotton/linen by @longancraft and was undecided on what to make until quite a few of you suggested a jacket, which turned out to be perfect. I used the #UnfoldingJacket pattern which I bought several years ago and is no longer available, so I won’t say too much about it. The lining fabric is a jacquard silk noil that I bought from @stonemountainfabric a while back. #LonganCraft was a new fabric store to me, but they have tons of really fun and unique fabrics. If still photos are more your speed, stay tuned for a photo post 😉 . Finished 10/3/24.
