Most students wonder why their CV isn’t landing interviews. The truth? It usually fails for 3 simple reasons. 1️⃣ Layout. Don’t waste time building a CV from scratch. Use a professional template with the formatting already right. Bristol Tracker (The Trackr) has a free one that works. 2️⃣ Formatting errors. Mixing hyphens and dashes, or adding full stops on some bullet points but not others - recruiters notice. Screenshot your CV and look at it with fresh eyes. If it looks sloppy, fix it. 3️⃣ No numbers. Saying you “helped with sales” is vague. Saying you “increased sales by 5%” is powerful. Always quantify your impact - but make sure you can defend it in an interview. These three things alone can take a CV from average to competitive. But honestly, a CV has way more nuance than I can cover in one post.
