ICE Agents TERRIFIED as Civilians Find New Ways to FIGHT BACK While activists, community organizers, and average, everyday Americans continue to fight back against ICE by documenting their violence and lawlessness, DHS's tactics have also shifted to become even more 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 than before. They are the men and women tasked with enforcing the nation’s immigration laws, operating in the shadows to track down and detain undocumented immigrants. But across the United States, a new, unwieldy enemy is emerging for agents of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE): the average citizen with a smartphone and a social media account. In a series of startling encounters that have gone viral online, civilians are turning the tables on federal agents, using the very tools of surveillance and intimidation back on the officers themselves. From suburban parking lots to rural roadways, a guerrilla war of documentation is being waged, and according to the videos, it is leaving some agents visibly flustered and on the defensive. The footage, compiled from various sources and shared widely on platforms like TikTok, paints a picture of an agency under a new kind of pressure. It is a pressure that doesn't come from the courts or the legislature, but from the lens of a camera.

Which is why we have to call our Senators and tell them to vote NO for more funding for DHS & ICE. There is information in my stories on how to do that. But this trash has got to end. @wired Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) plans to lease offices throughout the US as part of a secret, monthslong expansion campaign. WIRED is publishing dozens of these locations. “GSA is committed to working with all of our partner agencies, including our patriotic law enforcement partners such as ICE, to meet their workspace needs. GSA remains focused on supporting this administration’s goal of optimizing the federal footprint, and providing the best workplaces for our federal agencies to meet their mission,” Marianne Copenhaver, GSA associate administrator for communications, tells WIRED. “GSA is following all lease procurement procedures in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.” The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), ICE’s parent agency, did not reply to requests for comment.

ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is a U.S. federal law-enforcement agency that operates under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). What ICE does ICE's mission is to enforce U.S. immigration and customs laws inside the country. It has two main divisions: 1. Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Identifies, arrests, and deports undocumented immigrants Manages immigration detention centers Executes removal (deportation) orders Handles people who overstay visas or violate immigration terms 2. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Investigates cross-border crimes, including: Human trafficking & smuggling Drug trafficking Weapons smuggling Cybercrime Financial crimes Export control violations Works closely with FBI, DEA, CBP, Interpol, etc. How ICE fits into Homeland Security DHS was created after 9/11 (2002) to improve internal security ICE was formed in 2003 ICE is different from CBP (Customs and Border Protection): CBP → border & ports of entry ICE → enforcement inside the U.S. Why ICE is controversial Deportation raids Detention conditions Family separations (especially highlighted during the Trump administration) State vs federal conflicts over immigration enforcement

In the video, ICE agents confront a woman outside her home and demand she hand over her ID to “prove” she is a U.S. citizen, something they have no legal authority to require without reasonable suspicion of a specific crime. She asks why they need her ID. They tell her they have a “target” who lives at the address. So she asks, “Who is the target?” An agent responds, “We have to make sure you aren’t our target,” then immediately asks, “Do you live at this address?” She says yes. The person filming points out the obvious and tells her she should call 911, because she already stated she’s a citizen and ICE has no jurisdiction over U.S. citizens. That’s when the agent says, “She never said she was a citizen. Calm down.” The woman corrects him. She clearly states she is a citizen, and explains they never asked her about her status, they just demanded ID, which again, is not legal. The agent repeats himself, claiming they have a target connected to the home and want to make sure she isn’t that person. She then asks the only question that matters: “Do you have a warrant?” An agent says, “Yes, we have a warrant for their arrest.” She asks to see it. They refuse. Instead, the agent says, “I’ve got to make sure you are the person.” That’s still not how warrants work. If ICE actually had a valid warrant, they would already know who they were looking for, would not be guessing, and would be legally required to present it on request. Standing outside a home doesn’t change that. You don’t have to identify yourself just so federal agents can decide whether their claimed warrant applies to you. This is a textbook ICE intimidation tactic… demand ID, lie about warrants, deny proof, and hope people don’t know their rights. ICE/Border Patrol agents are harassing U.S. citizens in their own neighborhood, fishing for consent they are not entitled to. And this is how rights get erased, not all at once, but slowly, through lies, pressure, and people being told to “calm down.” #ice #trump #secret #police #usa

During a heated exchange, an ICE agent reminded a protester that the issue isn’t about “how it looks” — it’s about protecting communities and seeking justice for victims of violent crime. Strip away the politics, and the core question remains: Are we prioritizing public safety — or political theater? #ICE #BorderSecurity #PublicSafety #ImmigrationDebate #americafirst

The Department of Homeland Security now claims that ICE agents may enter a private residence using only an administrative warrant. This document is not signed by a judge and does not meet the standard of a judicial search warrant. If this concerns you, you are not alone. Every person is entitled to see the warrant, to remain silent, to refuse disclosing immigration status, and to request legal counsel.

What happens when doing your job could become a crime? ICE agents are being warned: new patrol “rules” debated in Congress could open the door for agents to face criminal charges just for operating in the field. This isn’t about politics - it’s about whether law enforcement tactics should be written by politicians. ⚖️ If patrol decisions become law… 📜 And a future administration interprets it differently… ⛓️ Who pays the price?
