37 weeks. One previous C-section. She walked in with mild pains and one question ‘Doctor, can I deliver normally this time?’ Her last C-section was 5 years ago. Reason? Baby passed meconium and had cord around the neck. And here’s what many women don’t know: Not every previous C-section means the next one has to be surgery too. If the first cesarean happened for a reason that is unlikely to repeat, if the scar is healthy, baby is doing well, and labor starts naturally VBAC can be a safe option in selected cases and at a center where proper monitoring can be done. One scar does not always mean a lifetime of scars. But the decision should always be individualized, monitored, and made safely. #vbac #pregnancy #cesarean #momtobe #obstetricsandgynecology Would you go for a VBAC if everything is in its favour?

Are you trying for a VBAC? ➡️ SAVE this post or share with a friend! Research shows up to 80% of VBACs are “successful,” but please know that a cesarean delivery does not mean you have “failed.” All births are beautiful. My mother had all 4 of us children via cesarean delivery and I do not know a stronger or more caring mother 🖤 Here are some of my top tips to prepare for a VBAC: - work with a pelvic floor therapist - find a provider who believes in and supports you with your decision - address any scar tissue restrictions - prioritize internal rotation movements of the hips to lengthen the pelvic floor - add pelvic floor mobility and release work - practice open glottis breathing - prioritize labor prep earlier than 36 weeks Even if your VBAC does not result in a vaginal delivery, all of the above tips will greatly improve your cesarean recovery, so please know that the work you put in will not go to waste! Share your VBAC story below, I’d love to hear ⬇️ #cesareanbirth #cesareandelivery #csection #csectionrecovery #postpartumrecovery #laborprep #childbirtheducation #pelvicfloorrehab #pelvicfloorexercises #csectionbirth

Out of all my 3 births, my VBA2C was the most powerful birth ever, here are 3 things I would do differently👇👇👇 So here it goes… 1️⃣I would’ve opted to birth at home with a birth keeper that respected the sacred journey of birth ❤️ 2️⃣I would’ve opted out of NHS antenatal care, this would’ve saved me a ton of stress 😥 3️⃣I would’ve asked someone to document my birth 📷 Is there anything you would change? #hbacsuccess #hbac #vbac #vbacsuccess #vbacwithoutfear

I told my doctor from the beginning I wanted to avoid getting another c-section. He said “let’s try it” and fully supported me without any “buts”. As I entered my third trimester he told me there’s a possibility I’d have to get a c section. I wasn’t discouraged but more thought “whatever God wants” By the grace of God I was able to experience a VBAC and was amazed all over again over what a woman’s body can do. If you’re doubting your ability to have a vbac after a c section, here is your sign to have faith. 🤍regardless the goal is a healthy baby ✨ #vbac #vbacbaby #laboranddelivery #storytime #csectionmom #pregnancyisbeautiful #pregnancyjourney #momof2 #mommy #godisgood #relatable #faith #foryou

That’s the question I heard the most. & honestly… I get it. It’s not the ‘usual’ choice. But here’s the truth ⬇️ I wasn’t trying to prove my worth as a mom. I wasn’t chasing some badge of honor. I just wanted to give my body the chance to do something it had never been able to before. After 3 c sections, I wanted to labor. To push. To experience birth in a different way, even if it didn’t go the way I dreamed. For me, attempting a VBAC was about: * Trusting my body more than my fear * Doing my research & knowing my risks * Writing a birth story I was part of deciding It didn’t end the way I planned (that’s a story for another reel 🙃), but I’ll never regret saying yes to the chance. Because sometimes, the point isn’t the outcome… it’s the courage to try. 💬 Did you attempt a VBAC or consider one? Tell me your story in the comments. #vbac #vba3c #vbacmom

Our first was an emergency c-section (TRAUMATIC experience, almost lost our baby, so YES we are thankful for the C-section because it’s what saved his life🙏🏻), second was a vaginal birth after cesarean, & third time around another VBAC🙏🏻. We learned at our recent hospital stay after having 2 VBACS it is no longer considered a “trial for labor” (which means VBAC). Before our first VBAC, I was filled with anxiety since we had a traumatic birth experience previously, didn’t know if we should go with another Csection or try for a vaginal birth. My main reason why I decided to try for vaginal was because my recovery for emergency Csection was really rough… and the thought of not being able to hold/hug my 2 year old toddler with my newborn baby made me so sad. It almost took me 2-3 months to even feel “normal”… where I can blow my nose, laugh, or even cough without pain…. After having a successful first VBAC, we decided to do another VBAC for our third birth because recovery for me was much easier vaginally vs cesarean. Here are my 3 tips if you want to try for a VBAC! You are your own advocate! At my FIRST OB appt I made sure to tell them I wanted to try for a VBAC BOTH times because I had to make sure I felt supported through it. Lmk what helped you if you went through it too! A lot of women are told that if they want a VBAC, they can “just do it.” But the reality is very different. Only about 10% of women who have had a cesarean go on to have a vaginal birth after cesarean. That means about 90% have a repeat C-section. And many times it’s not even their choice. Sometimes the doctor doesn’t support VBAC. Sometimes there isn’t a hospital nearby that offers it. Sometimes the fear after a traumatic birth feels too big to face alone. After a cesarean, many women carry the quiet belief that their body failed them. But your body is not broken. And VBAC is possible. What makes the difference for many women is the support around them. Support for the body. Support for the mind. Support for the healing that needs to happen after a difficult birth. If you want someone on your side who understands birth, trauma, and the power of rebuilding trust in your body again… Type birth coach in the comments. #pregnantwomen #vbac #vbacsuccess #birthcoach #childbirth
