Alison: You will learn the different types of VA, the tools you’ll be needing as a VA and how to use them as a beginner and get certified at the end of the course. Ps: you pay for your certificate with a little fee. But gaining the skills is more important. #2. ALX Africa: This is the exact course i took that helped me become a virtual assistant and working remotely, it’s an in-depth course, highly practical and not for lazy people but its 💯 free just apply for the next cohort and you are on your way to becoming a certified virtual assistant. #3. Coursera: This is a little tricky, you may not see the tittle “virtual assistant” but you get to see courses about managing your client’s productivity, AI tools for productivity, these are the tools you need to become a virtual assistant so it also works. Ps: coursera is not free if you don’t apply for financial aid. You won’t get the certificate but you’ll get the skills. Win win. #4. Udemy: This is a great site to learn virtual assistant skills for free, the courses are broken down into modules, teaching you the tools and skills you need to become a virtual assistant. #5. YOUTUBE: This is a no brainer! The key is here is clarity. Make a list (really - sit down and think about it) and reach out. People want to refer you, but they can’t if they don’t know what you do. Be clear. Be direct. And don’t be afraid to repeat yourself. 2️⃣ Use social like a normal person. No fancy branding. No viral dances. Just show up and talk about your VA business. What you do + who you help + how you help them + a little bit of you = connection. Think of social as the trust-builder, not the conversion machine. 3️⃣ Referrals are the easiest yes. Referrals work because they come with built-in trust. If someone already loves working with you, they want to share that experience.
