CIAnother 3D experiment! Moved on to cloth simulation for the first time and it's definitely a challenge however I can hide any imperfections in the paint over!
I just the hair on for each frame so it looks a little odd but I didn't want to wait ages for things to render out especially since this is just exploration. The final effect is cool I think.

THPainting white objects like clouds, snow and rocks can be tricky and a lot of students will go pure white on them. They will be influenced by colors from their environment though. BEFix ‘flat’ painting problems with the help of ‘wireframes’

In the rendering stage, I’ve recognized the number 1 thing that’ll have me mindlessly noodling about, not making any progress is a lack of understanding of:
⠀
a. The light source
b. The forms
⠀
One way I’ve found to get a little more clarity when it comes to the forms of whatever I’m drawing, so I can accurately create the illusion of light on it, is to ‘wireframe’ it out.
⠀
Now I’ll either do this in my head and take a minute, be a little more mindful of what I’m actually doing and how the forms sit in 3D space OR I’ll actually draw them on a separate layer if it’s a particularly tricky problem.

This often times helps get me out of sticky situations and can sometimes be the cure to the dreaded “This doesn’t look quite right, and I don’t know why”.
