😱 The most expensive mistakes are the ones you don’t see coming — so SAVE this for later. Here are 3 smart ways to cut costs: 1. KIDS 🧒 Yes, kids! Each child still requires a meal (even if it’s just pizza), a seat at a table, and sometimes extras like a high chair or even a separate childcare room 😩 That adds up fast. You can absolutely have your own children in the ceremony and still host an adults-only reception. Don’t feel pressured to invite every guest’s kids just because you have a flower girl or ring bearer ‼️ 2. CHAMPAGNE TOASTS 🥂 Be honest — how many guests actually drink champagne during the toast? 🤔 You’re typically charged per guest, and that cost climbs quickly. A better option? 🙌🏽 Let guests toast with whatever they’re already drinking and put that money toward something more memorable — like a champagne tower photo moment! 3. REPURPOSE YOUR DECOR ✨ Repurposing means reusing ceremony décor for the reception 👏🏽 When done well (we do this all the time!), it looks seamless. Bridesmaids’ bouquets, tall floral arrangements, and altar candles can double as reception centerpieces 🌸 Your ceremony backdrop can become a sweetheart table or cake table backdrop. #weddingtips #weddingideas #weddingmistakes #filler

Let’s talk about the part no one wants to say out loud… Did you follow tradition? Did you split everything 50/50? Or did you cover it yourselves? Because the truth is — there’s no “normal” anymore. Some couples have full family support. Some pay for everything on their own. Some mix, match, and figure it out as they go. And every single one of those is valid. But here’s where it gets interesting… Expectations vs. reality Family pressure vs. personal choice Tradition vs. modern relationships That’s where the real stories are. Drop it in the comments. Who actually paid for your wedding? #weddinginspo #vegaswedding #weddingtips #weddingplanning #weddingbudget

After shooting 200+ weddings, here are 5 guests I’ve seen couples regret inviting and I mean I’ve seen how this plays out: 1. The “we used to be close” friend You invite them out of nostalgia… but the whole day feels slightly off. They don’t know your people, they’re not in the inner circle moments, and you end up with photos where they’re just… there. I’ve watched couples realize later they barely spoke to them once. 2. The obligation coworker You felt bad not inviting them and then they show up, sit through dinner, maybe leave before the dance floor even starts. I’ve seen couples look around like “wait… why are they here again?” because there was never a real relationship to begin with. 3. The unpredictable family member Every bride has one. The one you hope behaves… but you’re also lowkey bracing for something. I’ve seen speeches get awkward, moods shift, people stepping in to diffuse situations and suddenly part of your day is spent managing someone else instead of being present. 4. The random plus-one Someone you’ve never met, now in your aisle shots, your cocktail hour, your dance floor. I’ve literally delivered galleries where couples ask “wait… who is that?” because they ended up in key moments and don’t even exist in their real life. 5. The quietly negative guest This one’s subtle but powerful. They’re not causing a scene but they’re not celebrating you either. Arms crossed during speeches, low energy on the dance floor, little comments here and there… and I’ve watched how that energy quietly spreads. It sounds small when you’re planning. It doesn’t feel small on the day. Because the people in the room shape how it feels not just how it looks. Protect your peace. Protect your seats. Which one are you debating right now? #wedding #weddingtips #weddingphotographer #weddingphotography #fyp

If you’re giving a speech, these tips will help you start strong and keep the room engaged. ⚡️Skip “for those of you who don’t know me.” It’s one of the most common openings and often loses the room right away. Instead try: “Hi everyone, I’m Sarah, the bride’s sister, and I’ve had the privilege of knowing her my whole life.” ⚡️Start with a quick memory. Example: “The first time Justin told me about Ara, I knew immediately she was special.” ⚡️Open with something meaningful. Example: “If you know the groom, you know he’s one of the most loyal people you’ll ever meet.” ⚡️Introduce yourself through the relationship. Example: “I’m the groom’s best friend, which means I’ve heard every story leading up to this moment.” ⚡️Transition to the couple quickly. Example: “And the best version of him really showed up when he met the bride.” ⚡️End with a clear toast. Something simple works best: “Please raise your glass to a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure.” 🥂 If you’re planning your wedding, share this with anyone giving a speech at your reception. A great speech can turn into one of the most memorable moments of the entire day.🥂 #weddingspeeches #forthoseofyouwhoknowme #weddingtips #weddingınspo #weddingspeech

You think you’ve cracked it. You’ve designed your tables, and in your head they look perfect. But on the day, they don’t quite flow. The colours feel off, and the décor doesn’t tie together. Here’s what you need to do: 1. A clear, consistent colour palette Luxury weddings always stick to a tight palette and carry it throughout. It’s not about using the same colour everywhere. It’s about balance and contrast. Your tones should complement each other, not compete. 2. Thoughtful lighting Atmosphere is everything. Candles and lamps at varying heights instantly elevate a space. A few scattered candles won’t cut it. You need a considered layout planned before setup so the lighting feels intentional. 3. Texture, not just colour You can’t create a cohesive look without layering textures. Linen, glassware, florals all play a part. The goal isn’t clutter, it’s depth. A mix of materials is what makes a design feel elevated. You don’t need to overcomplicate it. Focus on a few key elements and do them well. Most grooms aren’t told these things… and then the wedding day shows up fast. The truth is, it’s not about being perfect or knowing exactly what to do. It’s about being prepared enough that you can actually be present. The small details, how you show up, how you feel, how you take care of yourself that morning, those are the things that end up living in your photos forever. And yes, your hands will absolutely be in more photos than you think. If you’re getting married, take a few of these seriously. It will change how your entire day feels. Save this for later or send it to your fiancé. . #weddingtips #chicagoweddingphotographer #groomstyle #weddingplanningtips #luxurywedding

wedding tips i WISH i knew before i got married… 1. Take your wedding budget and multiply it by 25% (then add to the og $$$). I know ur immediate thought is no way, but couples statistically spend 28.6% above their original budget. Math now, save stress later! 2. Skip all the unnecessary signage. Lots of signage is pretty but an unnecessary splurge, people will know where to go for the most part. Stick with a couple main signs and allocate the rest somewhere else in the budget! 3. Run, jump, and twirl in your dress fittings, don’t wait until the day-of to realize you can’t! I’ve seen too many brides having to re-choreograph their first dance on the spot, because they weren’t able to do certain moves. You don’t want to feel constricted for your reception! 4. Book alive events to be your MC and DJ. They make you feel like guests at your own wedding! You need to invest in a good MC and they handle all the day of logistics rather than you. Allowing you to focus on spending time with your loved ones. Alive Events is the difference between a wedding that LOOKS good and a wedding that FEELS good. 5. Have a “honeymoon fund” registry instead of physical items. A duvet cover is extremely useful, but we love what brides are doing nowadays, being gifted an experience and a lifetime of memories by their guests. 6. Practice reading your vows multiple times OUT LOUD. Emotions & nerves on the big day will make it ten times harder for you to read these. You might stumble over words and that’s okay, but it should bc because of tears not because it’s your first time reading it aloud! 7. Don’t rush the planning! You only get married once, you should enjoy it! When planning a wedding there’s immense pressure to have it planned within a year. But ideally this will be your once and only time getting married! Why would you rush through it like a task on your to do list? You should be excited & present through every step! save this for your big day and send to someone getting married! #weddingtips #weddingday #weddingplanning #filler
