#What Does Efficiently Mean Reel by @6.rrenn - 大学教授(Marty Lobdell)揭晓:怎么高效工作数小时而不感到累?

Without sleep you harm: 🧠 Memory consolidation 🪫 Energy and productivity 🦠 Immune system 🫀 Cardiovascular health 🧪 Hormones Being productive does not mean MORE HOURS of work. Instead, it means to use your time more efficiently with these methods: Second brain: 👨🏻‍💻 This is an external system to capture, organize, and retrieve ideas efficiently, ensuring you never lose any valuable information. Also, you’ll always have previous work to build upon so you’ll never start from scratch! ✅ Night alarm clock: ⏰ Getting 7-9 hours of sleep happens only if you focus on when to go to bed. Use an alarm to remind yourself to wrap up whatever you’re doing and initiate your nighttime routine. I have a second alarm to indicate when to turn off all screens as the light can negatively affect the quality of your sleep! Peak productivity window: 🙇🏻 Everyone has natural fluctuations of energy and focus. Identify which part of the day is most optimal FOR YOU and leverage this 1.5 - 3 hour window for your most demanding tasks.  5 minute rule: ⏲️ Reduce the initial friction when getting started by committing to only 5 minutes of working on a task before deciding whether to continue. I have found 8 out of 10 times that I will complete the entire task, because I’ve entered a flow state and began dismantling some of the perceived complexities. If you want to learn more about optimizing your sleep along with any of these productivity tips, there will be so much more in the mentorship program which includes a community and your own second brain workspace!! ⚠️DID YOU KNOW?⚠️ . ⚠️Math fact fluency does not mean memorization! In order for a student to be ‘fluent’ in their math facts, they should be able to solve the problems efficiently and accurately. This often refers to mental math strategies where a student can access the answer to a math problem without having to solve it using paper, a white board, math manipulatives, a visual model etc. but it does NOT have to be memorized . ⚠️Let’s look at 3rd grade for an example: third graders are supposed to be fluent in their multiplication facts to 100 by the end of the year. Let’s say a child doesn’t know the product of 5x12 by memory, but they do know 5x10 and 5x2 and can mentally add 50+10 to get 60. Even though they don’t have 5x12 memorized, they are still fluent in the fact because they can solve it quickly, accurately (and mentally—which is not always a part of fluency but often is). . ⚠️So how can you promote fluency over memorization with your children and students? Use ‘think problems’ to get them thinking as they solve more challenging problems. These problems can be used with flash cards, fluency games, any time you are working on fact fluency! For example when solving 5x12, you would say ‘think 5x10’ to help them get started. Eventually children learn what think problems or starter problems work best for them. This often leads to memorization but memorization isn’t the only goal! . ⚠️Do you know the fluency standards for your child’s grade level? Check it out ⬇️ ⭐️Kinder: Fluently Add/subtract within 5 (some states within 10) ⭐️1st: Fluently add/subtract within 10 ⭐️2nd: Fluently add/subtract within 20 using mental strategies ⭐️3rd: Fluently add/subtract within 1,000 & fluently multiply&d I use within 100 ⭐️4th: Fluently add/subtract multi digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm (No multiplication fluency standard here but mult/div builds on the fluency from 3rd grade ⭐️5th: Fluently multiply multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm ⭐️6th: Fluently divide multi-digit numbers using the standard algorithm & Fluently add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals #iteachmath #teachergram #mathteachertribe #teachertips #mathteacher

Personally, I suck at efficiency (doing things quickly). Here’s my coping mechanism and 8-step process for maximizing efficacy (doing the right things): 1) Wake up at least 1 hour before you have to be at a computer screen. E-mail is the mind killer. 2) Make a cup of tea (I like pu-erh) and sit down with a pen/pencil and paper. 3) Write down the 3-5 things — and no more — that are making you most anxious or uncomfortable. They’re often things that have been punted from one day’s to-do list to the next, to the next, to the next, and so on. Most important usually = most uncomfortable, with some chance of rejection or conflict. 4) For each item, ask yourself: – “If this were the only thing I accomplished today, would I be satisfied with my day?” – “Will moving this forward make all the other to-do’s unimportant or easier to knock off later?” 5) Look only at the items you’ve answered “yes” to for at least one of these questions. 6) Block out at least 2-3 hours to focus on ONE of them for today. Let the rest of the urgent but less important stuff slide. It will still be there tomorrow. 7) TO BE CLEAR: Block out at least 2-3 HOURS to focus on ONE of them for today. This is ONE BLOCK OF TIME. Cobbling together 10 minutes here and there to add up to 120 minutes does not work. 8) If you get distracted or start procrastinating, don’t freak out and downward spiral; just gently come back to your ONE to-do. Congratulations! That’s it.

Productivity does not always mean, studying for 6-7 hours a day. It rather defines how much you studied in a less distracting environment. #studygram #studymotivation #fypシ #keşfet #kesfetteyim #kesfetteyiz #studymemes #studyaesthetic #studyadvice #studytime
