If you’ve ever wondered if God is for you, if the Bible is for you, or if the church is for you, then get this Bible study. The conversations we have around women and girls in the church can be confusing, discouraging, and even paralyzing. I wrote the Very Good Bible study because I wanted a comprehensive and biblical answer to offer women in my own church when they come to me with questions about the Bible and women. Here’s the good news: what the Bible says about women is very good. You don’t have to be afraid about what you’re going to find in this workbook or in the pages of Scripture. I invite you to dive into God‘s word with me in this study to see for yourself. Ladies, I’m inviting you to something very simple… but very powerful. Back to the Basics Bible Study — starting with the Book of John. Sometimes we don’t need more noise, more opinions, or more complicated teachings. We need to go back to the foundation — the Word of God — and truly understand who Jesus is, what He taught, and what it means to follow Him. This study is for: • Women who are new to the Bible • Women who want to strengthen their foundation in Christ • Women who feel like they’ve been in church but want deeper understanding • Women who simply want a consistent space to grow in the Word We’re starting with the Book of John because it clearly reveals the heart, identity, and mission of Jesus. If you really want to know Him, John is one of the best places to begin. I’m hosting this because I believe many of us need to slow down, return to the basics, and build our faith on truth — not just tradition or feelings. The Bible tells a much bigger story about women than many of us were taught. When you read Scripture carefully, women are not just background characters in the story. They are leaders, protectors, teachers, and truth tellers. Deborah led with wisdom and courage. Ruth showed deep loyalty and faith. Esther risked everything to protect her people. Priscilla helped teach and guide early church leaders. Phoebe served as a trusted leader in the early church. These women were not accidents in the story. Their courage, leadership, and wisdom are part of God’s design. When we look at the life of Jesus, we see something just as powerful. Again and again, Jesus treated women with dignity, respect, and trust. He spoke with them publicly, listened to them, taught them, and included them in His ministry in ways that were surprising for that time. Their stories help us see more clearly the heart of God and the value He places on women. This is one of the reasons I wrote Deeply Loved, Fully Forgiven, Designed With Purpose. In the study, we take a closer look at the women of Scripture and also at how Jesus interacted with women in the Gospels. Together, these stories reveal something important about God’s design, His grace, and the identity He gives to every woman. Sometimes we simply need to return to the text and see the full story again. You are deeply loved. You are fully forgiven. And you were designed with purpose. As we studied through Genesis 1, creation declares God’s glory in melodious proclamation, and humanity’s first recorded words were Adam’s song of joy upon meeting Eve. But sin interrupted our harmony with God, creating dissonance. Yet through Christ, our worship leader and high priest, we’re being tuned back into alignment with our Creator. Worship through music isn’t just singing, it’s essential to who we are as image-bearers of a God who sings over us. When we gather to worship through music, we’re doing three powerful things: remembering God’s faithfulness through musical memory, awakening to His present reality with awe, and tasting the future hope of eternal worship in His throne room. #reliancewomen #reliancechurch
