What is Yacht Week Croatia? It’s a 6 night 7 day, moving set of parties and events where you sleep on a boat every night. We had 42 yachts (combination of catamarans and monohulls) all following the same route. Docking up every night together and partying the week away.
Total costs for 11 people (max capacity for a Standard Catamaran) in AUD
Catamaran hire for 6 nights (accomodation and skipper) = $24,400
Kitty (used for port fees, ice, extras etc) = $3,300
Group expenses (including food, transport to and from venues, speaker hire, esky hire etc) = $4,400
Drinks, entry fees, activities & misc = $11,000
Tip to Skipper = $2,500
Total cost for the group = $45,600
Per person cost approximately $4,145 AUD or $2,715 USD or 2,507 Euro
This does not include flights to Split, Croatia or accommodation before or after the event. You may spend more or less than this. With options to have a host to cook food for you or additional activities such as quad biking that we didn’t take part in.
Yacht week as a hell of an experience, one that I will always remember. Was it worth the money, I’m not sure. Do I regret going? Not at all. Would I do it again? Probably not.
